still i think they need a processing station, not a planet

Just two things.

1) Synth Paste is already ingame, it's food rations. Food rations are synth paste, and luxury food is real grown food.
2) There is no Synth presence in Cambridge. The scientists there grow all Bretonia's food single handedly.

EDIT: And yeah, Synth really does need bases. Even if it's just somewhere convieniant to get Synth missions/bribes for character set-up

Well, Synth Foods may be busted out of Rheinland sould there be a war between Rheinland and Liberty. And yes, if all NPC Factions have bases, i don't see why Synth doesn't.

Also there are 2 prison stations, and they need food continuously!

yea we need a place to put it where it is near a resource like a planet, cloud etc

Not just one...

Synth foods is a fairly large co-orporation and deserves at least three.
Kusari is a major user of Synth paste one theres gotta be one definatley up there somwhere.

Rheinland and Liberty are other possible options.

However nothing much ties synth foods to Bretonia so I wouldn't bother considering placing one there.

Why not one in Shikoko near Junyo or in Kyushu near the planet.

It can't be in Tokyo or Honshu as they are crowded already!
