Yep, the Parachute Regiment aquired the nickname during the Africa campaign, where soldiers often had their uniform stained red by clay in the soil, combined with thier ferocity during attacks and maroon berets. The group I was refering to however, is the Para display team, who are freefall parachutists that do displays for air shows 'n stuff.
And something just occured to me. The Atmospheric Fighters and Bombers would make a nice addition to Carriers... Give carriers a relitively high cargo hold for it's class, say maybe 600-700 and make the fighter/bombers take between 80-150 cargo. That being so fighters couldn't carry them (although some bobmers would be able to on the lower bracket).
EDIT: And yah, for those wondering, I have family in the Regiment:)

We usually carry Military Vehicles and Spaceship Crew, some Light Arms, Food, Water on our main Roleplaying Assault Ships...
Perhaps we could add Ambassadors, Spies, Deserters, etc etc...

For generic units there could be 'guns for hire' or mercanaries. That would fit the role of private militas as well as Bounty Hunters and other profit only combat organisations.
That maybe too, but imo, there should be basic generic units like "Infantry", "Marines" etc., just because there always might be someone who RPs armed forces which would neither be mercenaries nor soldiers belonging to a House. Also, it would be too much work for the modders to create such soldier commodities for every faction; I think it would be much easier to just create custom ones for the major factions (Houses including unlawful ones, plus Wilde and probably Nomads) and generic ones for everyone else.
