What we need is more common sense, more positive attitudes towards less RP experienced people and most of all less nazi suggestions like these. No offense, but that's not really the solution for our problems on the server.

In this entire thread I agree most with the above statement. Being auto-fined or hindered in any way for using the "//" prefix will not fix the OOC talk in the slightest, it will in fact make it worse by having people just not use it when they speak OOC. So you will get OOC messages without any prefix to signify they are OOC, what then? You can't fix stuff like this by introducing more hard rules or hook restrictions.
whats to stop people from just using another mark for OOC chatter ?
sometimes when I PM someone in game I forget that I am typing OOC and I just add the slashes at the end, where the command would have no effect at all //
I disagree with this idea. Even a REALLY GOOD RP'er has to work on // messages at times to prevent certain chaos from happening (like sometimes it happens in Minor) and then he/she has to pay for trying to ease the on going mess?
Sorry but the system has flaws in my opinion and it feels as if being leashed.

I'd strongly disagree with this idea as well, for above mentioned reasons. People would just go ooc without the markings after all. What might be a good idea would be having it so that any message with the // tag would be changed to a less conspicuous colour, like maybe black so people can ignore it if they want.
