As an OPG my words should weight bit more here than others, because I am forced to spend some time in Gamma. But not all, thank god, not all.
There's bunch of "idiots" in gamma. However
- They are bunch of "idiots" with corsair guard or corsair id.
- There is a new level of "idiots" with order guard or order id
Note the quotation marks. Because they aren't idiots. Actually, zoners came last night and corsair indies accepted them nicely, because they brought foods and meds for gamma. Awesome thing!
Then a trader came without anything, wanting to dock on alaska to get artifacts.
He got blown up because he did not want to leave empty handed.
To sum it up.
Our "idiots" have ID's that are allowed in gamma. Do not waltz in gamma expecting a party or a parade. If you're humble enough we'll let you pass on, and thats as much as you'll get.
And yes, Corsair ID allow us to stop you, and pirate you for your passage. Any ship thats not green to us, or remotely allied.
Neutral just means don't kill that first second.

I doubt this. I think a lot of nabs are atraccted by corsairs faction or Order one more then others in the start. Since Order are heroes in SP and Corsairs is "the most ugly faction you can play for" and be a cruel pirate in a legate.
Besides official factions are rarely seen in gamma at the moment.
I've had some of my best RP there, and there are a lot of good, quality Role Players who do often hang around there.
That being said, yes, there are some twits - who shoot first where they should try role playing a little more.
Which is why when i can get in game on my [Admin] character i like to hide in gamma and crack the whip at times... i have zero tolerance for shennanigans in Gamma when i see it.
OK for one i dont think Gamma could ever be compared to New York and its an insult to be saying so!! there is plenty of RP there just like any other system. and you can go everywhere and find OORP not just there, its one thing we are working on to have less of (it makes me sick to my stomach). Capwh***s yes but go anywhere and you will see them. And two this one for mister miller, if you would have gone to Alpha you would have been treated the same way(if not been killed faster), Hostal on scanners and not listening to corsairs is never a good idea deffenitly when you are 5k from the lovely crete. Iam sorry for your lose but maybe next time you will listen to the Corsair Guards if anything.
People take Gamma as a joke and its not!! we desire a lil respect. maybe thats why we are so strict when outsiders come into gamma, to let them know we mean business!! and for those of you who dont enjoy it then dont come there! Not to be rude or anything but it makes sence.
I cant just sit here and let you all bash Gamma like some kind of pinata. so if anyone is going to say anything nice about Gamma on this thread let it be ME.
Give the guy a break. It's never too late to take back something posted a little thoughtlessly that might be inflammatory.
On topic: Gamma. Well. Some people could try listening to people rather than looking for reasons to kill you. Just an observation. But you could say that about pretty much anywhere, right? I mean, just cause you can be a nubtard to others doesn't mean you shouldn't.
I really liked Gamma in SP. Made my way there when I started playing here too, but in time I drifted away. Some people have bad habits, but who doesn't?
