Nah. Not only is it an unnecessary change but it's entirely avoidable for traders by, I don't know, taking the trade lane through Frankfurt. And for traders in Adv. Trains, this should be the preferred route.

Also, I in the Das Wilde faction. There are times in New Berlin when we need those NPCs, such as when we're in there and suddenly there's a swarm of Rheinland Military, Bounty Hunters, Corsairs, SCRA and Order all mysteriously on the radar.

The 5k's don't, and I don't believe the Heavy Tanker, the Shire, or the C-trans do either.

Besides being "home" in a manner of speaking, Rheinland is well within Das Wilde's operating range. You don't see Order NPCs in NY because you don't see the Order in NY (not in large numbers, anyway). There's Red Hessians in Omega-3 because it's within their ZoI, and that's farther from Vogtland than New Berlin is from Rockhome (or at least similarly distanced). There's Outcast NPCs pretty far from Malta, too. And Corsairs all the way in Leeds (if I'm not mistaken). Dun think Leeds is closer to Crete (or any Corsair base for that matter) than New Berlin is to the Wilderness.

Oh, and our home system has NPCs. The dozens of dead battleships can attest to this. Our home system actually has the scariest NPCs outside of Gallia... although Omicron Iota-hell is still a nastier place to be. Oh wait, IIRC there's Wild patrols around Dur-Shurrikun.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we do in fact have NPCs in our home system as well as within our primary operating area.
As for your comments on transports...

Did it ever occur to you that there's supposed to be reasons to get ships that aren't the biggest and baddest? 5ks have the advantage that if uninterrupted you get a lot more money than other people do. They have the disadvantage that if you don't pay pirates you're going to die. Other transports have things like dodging, guns, or armor to compensate for the fact that they don't have a 5k hold. As a result, you see people in transports other than the 5ks. This is called balance.

Oh, and if you're in a transport with guns on it and a bomber kills you solely by shooting you continuously with its guns, chances are you were either fighting an absolute ace who was just messing with you or you really need to learn to aim. Transport guns aren't friendly, and things like the Shire make gunboats (plural) cry.

If you can't find good routes than either you aren't looking hard enough or you have a bad definition of "good".

Lolpirates also tend to congregate. If you can't deal with them, then trade somewhere else. Like, oh, Rheinland. Or Bretonia.

I really hate to say it... but I think the best advice right now is "lrn2play".

First off,

I know how to effin play the game. I am in effin Rheinland, to get away from lolpirates. Large transports effin sux. Period. I didn't say:

OH LOOK I CAN'T POWER TRADE BECAUSE THE NPCS ARE UBER, AND MY 1 SYSTEM SHORTCUT HAS UBER NPCS.

I did say, that the NPC's are overpowered, spawning in groups of 12, and cd spamming the crap out of you. I love how you grammar nazi fool's jump in on every ones posts, drop your "I R NERD" bombs, then fly off.

Transport weapons are ok. The fact that the 5k transports have crap armament, no cm's, and have huge blind spots is not.

I don't care if you have 3k + posts, Sovereign, you still don't get it.

Bombers can chain fire. I have seen it, I don't give a eff what any of you say, bombers with a 4.0 refire rate is ridiculous. If your gunboat cannot take down a transport, then you need to learn to play the game.

As you wish to prove your uber skills, I shall correct you:

If you can't deal with them, then trade somewhere else. Like, oh, Rheinland. Or Bretonia.

Last Time I checked, New Berlin is in Rheinland. LOLPIRATES, and LOLwutters, as I have stated before, will always be around.

The point of this thread was, The wilde are overpowered. It was an observation. I got that the Nomads got better, because everyone was nomad harvesting. I get that rogues/pirates get gunboat patrols. I get BHG getting dessie patrols, I even get the Cap ship patrols in House systems. The point I was making, was, again, that cd spamming npcs, in packs of 12, who spawn all around you, as you try to thrust away, or redock with a Jumphole is ridiculous.

The reports of my trying to imitate the revered Michal Golanski are greatly exaggerated...my avatar should prove this.

I have never encountered them outside of their tucked away systems.

Honestly, I find it easy to stay away from them.

Or maybe that jumphole is meant to be a death trap. It's also not unique by any means.

Ever try to go through the Dublin/Omega 49 hole on a character that's meant to be hostile to Corsairs, that's actually hostile to Corsairs? Those Titans make the Wilde feel like a Bloodhound patrol.

All 3 don't have CMs.
However, the Shire has 12 turrets...:ylove:

You've never been to Gallia, have you?
Else, you wouldn't be complaining about that. Trust me, against a pack of 6 Cougars which chainfire their SNACs on you, plus their bomber guns which make my FPS drop to 0.5 FPS, the Wilde NPCs are little fleas.
No, those NPC's spawning there aren't ridiculous at all.

Now, have a nice night, my bed next to me is calling me.

In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.

Just to re-iterate, you are SUPPOSED to die if traveling away from the beaten path, otherwise, you would see NPCs doing that route all the time.
Have you ever traded as Outcast or Corsair ?
It won't be different. The BHG is a pain with their CD. They were even given imp debs ... I'm no match for them in my corsair adv. train or even my PTransport. Don't remove the NPCs, but their CDs, it does the most of the job.

I never went in Gallia to trade, but I remember how from a side to an other of a single trade lane you could face the complete opposite side.

The server is no more hosting 200 players so the NPCs are back, and now we can feel them, they're the worst pain we ever had.

I hate those Titans. They love shredding one's shields, that's for sure.

What a shiny 'discussion'.
I fly one of those Adv. Trains. It doesnt even have guns, bc honestly, guns on an Adv. Train are rather useless.
I haul Niobz.
I pass the nasty pirates in the Taus, fly through Kusari and Sigma13, pass through Frankfurt and finally reach New Berlin.
Using Frankfurt takes aprox 2minutes longer but for that is a very safe route. Because as the nasty Sniffers in the Taus, the nasty Unioners somehow cant CD my Train.

You just dont use that jumphole, you dont have a problem.
Its easy, try it.
