I say, if they're gona make shield damage only missiles, make some hull damage only ones too.

That, or take the 200k energy suck off the darn things.

Agreed, at least make them more energy efficient.
Right now its 33%-50% energy drain for GB but only 20% energy drain for Bomber, not counting in the quite high probablility of NOT hitting the target.

If there is no lag they work pretty well. You must know when to shoot it- when the fighter/bomber approach to you to deal snac/razor hit- so they eat the missile and take some direct hull dmg from your guns, other good option is that when you fight 2-3 snubs you could just spam with missile the one that is most away from you and make it dodge till you spray the other closer ones with turrets.
This however does not work if the GB missiles do not track- and they do not tack in 90% of the time.
So the problem is not in the missiles but in their tracking system.
I would also agree that adding 390k hull only missile with the 5k dmg would be nice option. I would also be happy to give the missiels more projective livetime because they cannot use their range effectively- they disappear a way before they reach the end of its range.. Missiles are defense guns not attacking ones use them as such.

Guys, this is NOT acceptable. 200,000 energy for what? A mere 9,375 shield damage. IF IT HITS. If. Chances are, it will NOT hit, especially with CMs and dodging.

Also, this is for all who cry about gunboats. If you are a fighter/bomber and you got problems with gunboats, THEN RUN. Your thruster is 200 for a reason, just don't engage if you dont wanna die. Accept that you suck, get better and stop complaining how OP gunboats were.

And please, do something about gunboat missiles. As they are now, its NOT acceptable. Think of a better way to balance stuff, before making it useless, please.
