[font=Comic Sans Ms]This thread reeks of people yearning for more blue messages.
Having a cloak disrupter would make cloaks worthless. Just like cruise disrupters make ships unable to flee at speed (Seriously, thrusters go at 720 km/h. Aren't we in, you know, frigging space in the frigging future? We have planes that go faster than that now.)
That's pretty much all there is here. To be honest, there really isn't all that many pirate with cloaks. Usually it's just those one or two that you can easily avoid.
Don't you have enough the same threads on forum?

...despite the fact that it is wrong.
WHOLE Cloak system must get serious reballance. Because Small ship cant cloak now and big one easilly cloak'able. actually small ships should be cloaked easilly becuase of their size, but they wasting fuel like they are battleships
it doesn't need it's balanced like it's now even that it got uber nerfed.
distrupting the cloak would make it terrible useless and nobody will build it anymore.
While I have no real problem with cloak having an inbuilt weakness like a certain way to be disrupted.
I would in fact like this measure to be as difficult a maneuver to pull of as the cloaking itself.
So either leave it as it is now or maybe a special type of CD that does not have the normal CD'ing effect but instead limits cloak.
Of course it would have to have an ammo cost high enough and a refire rate low enough to warrant stopping the difficult affect of cloaking.
Maybe 3 different types to counter the 3 different cloaks, yeah that sounds fair to me.
Of course that sounds too difficult and maybe we should just balance the difficulty against the level 2 advanced cloak since that seems to be the one people have the most problem with eh?

Actually I would think it was infact a power into the cloak versus a power imprint hidden.
Hence BS's should still do it better IMHO.
Well problem is, that any sort of nerf or counter-measure will render the small cloak useless. Depending on your ship you get 10-30 seconds of cloaking, and your pursuers can take advantage of that and try and position themselves where they think you might uncloak.
The small cloak is not a flawless "get away free" card, and if countermeasures are brought into play the small cloak will be next to useless.
Don't know about the larger cloaks though, but the small one is balanced just fine considering its rather large limitations.

Lolsorry? My bombers cloak just fine.
Fighters - yes, with exception of few, they're not too cloak capable. With exception of few, like Manta/Wasupu.
Or are you talking about offensive, not defensive, use of cloaks on snubcraft?

Uh? I'm fighting cloaked jorms for quite some time on both Rheinland and Sair chars, and I can't say that there're any problems with it. Yes, they can get away, sometimes. But it's nowhere near being problematic.
