On the side there are a lot of good capital ship pilots-
they know how to defend themselves and they will have more point defence turrets in 4.86. So the balance will be shifted- how we will play and see.
All capital pilots must always keep in mind that they will never get awesome brutal caps- simple because if caps are made like they should be in RP- brutal war machines -they willt be able to destroy one or two squads of bombers- like 10-15 of them before they die.
Keep in mind that Capitals are balanced to be fair- in PvP not in RP.
I dont think that one person should be able to win agaist 3 or 4 other persons (all with the same skill) only because he fly battleship. It is just not valid reason.
To the Devs reading- I really think that official factions that have caps must receive one flagship- with bigger power-core and more Armour and better guns- this is the true role of the Capital ships.It is ridiculous that faction leaders prefer to fly in fighter because they can survive more time in battle then in command ship.

Yes, I get your point, because everyone can get battleship or other capital ship after some time, they are in high number, and making tham alot stronger would make no one go to fighters/bombers, it is problem.
However for now the problem is that, 1 bomber or 1 VHF not can beat 1 capital ship.
But 6 VHF/Bombers can beat 6 capital ships realy easy one by one,
and fighters/bombers can attack capital ships anytime, when capital ship will have sad cat mouse game.
The main trouble is that 1 fighter can avoid attack of 4 fighters or 5 capital ships running around, 1 capital ship, even gunboat will not suviver long under 3 bombers/fighters fire.
The highter number of bombers and fighters, the better they work as team again capital ship,
The highter number of capital ships, the harder they can hit enemy capital ships, but they not can defend others.
Flak cannons cost to much energy and are hard in use, solaris have to short range.
Once many fighters and bombers will jump on 1 capital ships, other capital ships not can protect him, and what is worse, other fighters not can protect him.
What is point in having fighter escort if they not can damage enemy fighters or bombers what attack 1 capital ship or trade ship.
When fighter or bomber dodge to recharge power and shield, it is very hard to damage tham.
What it mean, it mean, fighters not can escort capital ships, capital ships not can escort capital ships.
My solution are simple ( fighter is neutral to everythink, no advantage, no weakpoints, but fighter should be anti fighter and anti bomber and escort unit ), increse all fighter gun speed by 50% but in exchange put they damage down by 20%.
So in the end, gun what have 600 speed, 2 shot/secound, 1000 damage, will have 900 speed, 2 shot/secound, 800 damage.
Why, because it will increse fighter anti fighter and anti bomber advantage, and little reduce they anti capital ship advantage ( it is how it should be ).
Capital ships anti fighter set up need highter range, not just again bombers and fighters, but because they should escort each other better.
Bomber should have freighter shield, but they should be bigger and less agile, almost like freighters ( I mean there are bombers so agile that fighter and gunboat escort not can even damage tham when they bomb capital ship ), so that fighters and anti fighter gunboat can damage tham when they bomb capital ship.
In short, increse fighter anti fighter and anti bomber advantage and small reduce anti capital.
Make bomber alot weaker again fighters and gunboat escort, but keep they anti capital firepower or even increse it.
Make capital ships protect each other from fighters and bombers better, it is not fight 1 cap vs 2 bombers problem, it is 6 cap vs 5 fighters/bombers problem.
