"Only one sir." Collins said. "When and where will the battle occur?" after he finished that sentance he and the rest of the Sierra grinned, obviously their hungry for combat, Collins stood there looking at the Overlord waiting for his answer...
"Consider me out of update please, but I have never heard of those "Scorn". I don't want to stick nose to your secret informations, overlord, but I would like to have some informations about them. Weak spots, tactics, how they act when we approach them. Who and what are they would be good information too."
He took out his cigarettes and lit up one.
"Don't take me wrong overlord, I would fight the whole Corsair army alone if it was your order. But I like surviving battles if I can and every information about my enemy is crucial for it."
Zhane's eyes looked at Pergesin and shook his head, wagging a finger at him and pointing at the cigarette..
"Don't smoke in here.."
He then exhaled and spoke..
"The Scorn, is for all intents and purposes nothing more then a mistake, made by someone else.."
"A little over 20 years ago, the Council sent, by a recommendation from the second voice, a fleet of 5 cruisers and 10 builder forms to outside the known boundaries of Sirius space, and then a little further. "
He dragged his hand across his cheek and continued..
"It was called Eradanis and the small fleet of AI's was ordered to stay and build up additional forces and await for an enemy to come.. "
He lowered his gaze..
"They have been building.. And building.. And preparing themselves.. For when what the second voice called the "Scorn" would arrive.."
He stood up straight and coughed.
"The Scorn where according to the Voice a mistake by the Creator.. Malfunctioning probes that became insane and became a hive mind.. They began to organize themselves, what was left and created a chaotic ramble of assault crafts and began to destroy the Creators other children's colonies and bases.. Taking biological life to be used as grunts and crew.."
He shook his head..
"The voice told of many other things aswell.. But those arent important.."
He closes his eyes and sighed..
"The Scorn's ships are tough, powerful, but also slow and un-agile.. How ever, they act as chaotic and unorganized as rabid dogs, but there is a pattern to their chaos.. They aim to split apart any organized fleet since most of their ships are stronger 1 on 1.. Hull armor seams thicker and presume made of an stronger alloy then that we are using.."
He looked back directly at Pergesin..
"Torpedos, mass driver's, ballistic hybrid weaponry are what they use.. Slow and powerful and some of their shots seam to be EMP in order to destroy shielding.. It's super effective.. But they are still.. Chaotic.."
He then looks around the room..
"So if anyone have any ideas or tactics they wish to.. Present, they are welcome to do so here.. Now.."
"I suggest antimatter bombs. When detonated in right time it could cripple their swarms. Except that maybe somewhere around minefield. To reduce their movement. Other than that, just stay in move, I guess."
"If I may add a question, is there data on their ships? Knowing hull size, traverse speed, velocity, and shielding could help us determine a greater outcome, Creator permitting."Inuctum asked, floating to take a place by a wall, Troy leaning beside it.
"Known hull sizes vary from Gunship sized to Battlecruisers.. They are all slow but equally tough.. Shielding seams lesser then ours.. How ever their ships hulls have increased armors, atleast compared to our own.."
He sighed..
"Fighters how ever differ in size and speed.. They almost seam.. Random.."
Alec Pergesin went to the side bar and when he returned he was holding glass of juice mixed with vodka.
"My plan is to lay antimatter bombs around our position when we get there. When the swarms approaches the bombs would be detonated and hopefully crippling them and breaking the line. In this moment, which will be short I guess, our fighter squad would break into their middle and to attack them. That wouldn't allow their numbers to overcome us. Our heavies could provide middle range support."
Alec paused for a little and sipped from his drink.
"Is there any minefield around? If not I would propose some sun at least. So we would be covered from back. Also our heavies could stay deeper in it so their fighters couldn't get to them."
