It was Not the fault of the corsairs.
It was actually something buried deep inside Cork itself.
More will be explained once the system work gets revised, the current 4.86 stuff came from the [MR] and simply destroys the system.

Can people who based roleplay on the old good Cork history claim that the historicans were bribed by Corsair Empire to change the books? I mean, what should people do, if they based their roleplay stories on current Cork background?
Eh, yes, I used the Search option and while nobody cares, I don't understand why Cork should become someone's else fault or noone's fault just because someone don't want to roleplay the history of the planet that wasn't fixed for 2 years (which actually shows that it's not a big problem)?
I kno, rite?
No reason to change it.
Unless, of course, you give us Cork back. Then yeah, that would be awesome, MOLLYS GET A PLANET FOO'.
But meh.
It's kinda hard to retroactively change history, specially big history, cuse people base their stuffz off that stuffz.
Like Ian Holmes, his backstory is based partly on the Cambridge bombing.
Making integral changes to large parts of the RP environment kinda blows it out of the water.
Or something.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
Remember, just because it wasn't a certain someones fault doesn't mean they aren't blamed.
Cork, the new Molly home. Once discovered it was a major boost to the Molly population. Here was a plant they could call home, away from the danger of Dublin and simple to develop on. Such were the haydays of the Mollys, then ruled by the Union of Gold.
However all was not as it seemed.
A routine mining expedition into one of the many resource rich areas of Cork met with a troubling end.
During their excavations, the miners disturbed something buried deep underground, something not seen for millennia and never before by human eyes.
No human was to see it then either.
Whether the object underground was intended to do so or not, great amounts of energy soon flowed from thr very core of the planet. Vast shifts in the climate occured as the planet appeared to remake itself, driven by thr unknown object.
Although safe at first, within a day of the device awakening the climate shift became more rapid and far more dangerous. What started as some form of meteorological orchestra soon became a chaotic swirling maelstom, whipping itself up to a creshendo unlike any other.
An exodus of the planet began as people literally flew to safety, out of the dark clouds and into the safety of the void beyond. Not all would be as lucky and escape.
The Molly command, the Union of Gold, was thrown into turmoil. The loss of such lives and of the planet being the fault of the Mollys themselves would no doubt destroy their control of the overall Molly movement. They could not lose control.
Such was thr situation that when a Corsair scout patrol was found on Londonderry, the Union pounced on he chance. Here was an enemy they could blame, someone they could easily convince people was to blame.
And so it was, the Union greatly exaggerated the Corsair patrol, calling it a grand bomber fleet.
To this day the secret of Cork is only known to those High up in the Mollys and is a secret still guarded by the Council. Some do question what really happened during those fateful days but they are simply dismissed or shrugged off. Who knows whether the Council will reveal the truth, it awaits to be seen.
The planet continues to reshape it's climate and it's very makeup to this day but no one can forget the carnage, nor forgive those they believe responsible.
A good idea overall that will ovbiously need refining in different places. However all this talk about BAF getting essentially more is irrelevent. This can be started in 4.85 but hopefully, with enough support, we can find a way of properly applying it to 4.86, giving the Molly Zone appropriate mining areas and so on.

The second asteroid field around the Omega 49 hole has good yields. Where that field overlaps with the Arranmore field it appears the small asteroid counts are additive, resulting in a small area where the gold ore yield is quite high. It's this area the IMG and MMC have been present in.
The currently proposed division includes one high-yield field for each section: H4 (mainly) for BMM, guarded by the BAF. F3 a free-for-all, where anyone and anything can mine, in the Neutral zone. The D7 field would be a Molly only field.
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
