Greetings there, its my night shift... I think its night in my home but I don`t know about others. Tonight I helped a totally new player on server, I explained him some server commands that will be helpful in game after that I started with "Roll Play" story and name of character, I told him about forum and he will create account here. I`m happy to see that he understand RP on this server and I think we will see more of him in the future, he already read all rules so, my opinion is that he will become very nice RP player here.
I`ll work with him every time when he is online, after I show him some trade routs he can start his career here. Work will be finished when he had more time.
Only a weapon dealer (!), which asked me, if am William Frederick Cody too. After cleaning this up, i advised him how to write an infocard for his customers.
Done a few shifts over the past week. Never got around to reporting them.
Helped a bunch of people, the main ones I remember were two players who were having a disagreement over some PvP. It seemed like a misunderstanding on both sides, but they talked it out and both decided not to report each-other. Both seemed like nice, reasonable people given the situation. Which is always a good thing:)
Another was a player from the UK server, it wasn't busy so I showed him a few starting trade routes. Ended up talking about the differences between the two servers. I learnt as much as he did.
The rest, mainly ID stuff / rules on piracy etc / general stuff
Pulled about an hour shift today, maybe a little longer. Man, I so wasn't ready for the onslaught of questions thrown my way. Lets see.
I explained to one guy how to use Freelancer Launchpad to export and then import his accounts so that he could play his characters on another PC of his. I told him he could find a link to the program and a tutorial on the forums here.
Had a Labrise dude inquire about where his Corse character could go. I checked the announcements about this and concluded that he is restricted to the Taus and edges of Outcast space; though I agreed with him that this might be out of date.
A Hunter wanted to know if he could demand artifacts, I informed him he can only demand nomads, nomad technology, or BHG or allied pilots and nothing else.
Another player inquired if he could mine silver and copper in Colorado. I wasn't sure so he went and checked and told me he shoot 30 rocks with no results. I explained to him how the new mining system works and pointed him at the new mining guide.
Yet another player contacted me asking about a person pirating in a Luxury Liner, I let him know that if a person can or cannot pirate depends on their ID not their ship. Though, their ship choice is limited by their ID. Didn't really bother with this one, I'm not the police or an admin am I?
