Neither of them were even close to adminship when that thread was put up. Infact they were both pretty fresh and new to the server, far from being the old guard.
EDIT: That was saying in general, not directly to you.
Lemme explain: None of those factions are truly "elite" anybody can get in, and is determined by RP skills, I saw people new to the server get in them and people that are around for longer then who doesn't get in. So that reference as most people people to "Old players" to have special privileges for getting in them, is not true. I saw very few real references to the RP skill that those factions ask, very few.

In the SCRA, you can make a Freelancer IDed character and fly alongside us as a supporter of the cause - take part in our group operations and such. That's as close as you'll get to a Trial ID. That method of recruitment is actually written in the faction status.
EDIT: Come to think of it... It would be cool if we encouraged people to make Bundschuh characters for a trial. The faction is dead, on the whole, and it doesn't help that the RHA does their job and the Hessian's job.
Well, I'm sure a lot of people put work in this community and mod, not just the SCRA. Besides, your faction already had their ID way before earning it, but that's besides the point.
The decision of making these NPC factions open for independents is not gonna be taken by your or nor me. It will have to be taken by the administration and development teams, and community as a whole.
I don't understand why you keep thinking that such a decision will ruin your player faction. It has nothing to do with your player faction, it's all about the NPC faction that is present in game even there are no SCRA players on the server.

ID was implemented in .84 and the NPC faction + gear was implemented in .85 - the SCRA/Coalition player faction has existed since '06, which I believe was .82 (or earlier, don't know). I think they kind of did earn it.
' Wrote:As for the Colonials... They're an oddity and stand out from the above. They don't need Admin rep adjustment, and have ships, equipment and an ID that is an exact clone of the IMG's, more or less. The reason for their lack of indys is a hefty dose of FR2, I guess. It's not like their ID has any particular PvP or ZoI advantage over the IMG one.
Look at both IDs and you will realize a few differences. You will also realize that your statement is not true.
The CR might not be as elite as the other factions, due to our rather open recruitment, which really doesnt make it hard to join. But I can not imagine that we would agree to opening the faction to the public at all. Just as Alvin said, too much work and sweat put into it, while others that want to have the same did nothing for it. This is life, you want something, you have to earn it.

But the Bundschuh aren't really fans of the SCRA. Quite the contrary in fact, what keeps us from being outright unfriendly to you is mainly *sighs* the hessians.

On-topic. So the SCRA put a lot of work in it? And the factions who do have indies didn't? Don't say that it is because those with indies are vanilla factions. Because honestly, the factions in Disco differ quite often from what they were in vanilla.
