The Takarabune Conglomerate, also known in some circles as the Shikoku Turtles, is a commercial oriented syndicate from Planet Junyo, in the Shikoku system. Originally a single company focused on the production and shipping of the Junyo’s Pearls and seafood ran by a local Hogosha Syndicate, it gradually expanded its business in the field, developing retail and logistic business in other sectors of Kusari and neighbouring houses. Taking inspiration in the mystical “Fortune Ship” of the ancient Kusari mythology, the Takarabune Company aims to spread the good fortunes of Kusari unique economic capabilities to the Kusari populace.
Benefiting from a close relationship with the large conglomerate Samura Industries, the Takarabune acquired a large quantity of smaller business, beginning to develop it’s own range of affiliates and parallel areas of expertise. With the funds and assets, the Hogosha syndicate also expanded its influence in the Hogosha community, through mediation and active support of the fledgling organizations. Using the company activities as a front for its operations, the syndicate has made his voice and work known inside and outside Kusari.
With the recent transformation of the internal structure, the Takarabune rebranded itself as a conglomerate, and announced it’s entry into several new fields, including weapons trade, research and development, civil engineering and construction, amongst others.
The Takarabune Conglomerate counts with 12 companies under its banner, in addition to the holding company and it’s private investment fund. A few of those companies figure on the Kusari Top 100 Companies index, still far behind several Samura and Kishiro owned companies.
The original company was ran by the man known as the Fisherman, who now doubles as the Conglomerate CEO.
-------------
It is virtually unknown that the group who rules behind the figure of the Chief Supervisor is the group called [The Seven Fortunes] council, who has held power in the Hogosha activities on planet Junyo for more than 200 years. The Seven Fortunes has held its secrecy through the use of proxy agents and organizations, and it is suspected that the Takarabune Company is just another of those arms of the council.
The Seven Fortunes, though they support an expansionist policy of the Hogosha to outside of Kusari, they nevertheless have a fiercely regional orientation, trying to take command of the destinies of Shikoku away from the ruling of Imperial, Republican or Corporate interests implanted in New Tokyo or elsewhere.

Takarabune Marine and Shipping Company- (Early 821A.S.)
The Takarabune Company is the original company created in early 821A.S., by those who took interest in the business opportunities recently created by Samura’s development plans and the new openness of the Kusari Republic. Taking inspiration in the mystical “Fortune Ship” of the ancient Kusari mythology, the Takarabune Company aims to spread the good fortunes of Kusari unique economic capabilities to the Kusari populace.
Having acquired several small companies related with the production of foodstuffs and pearls, and possessing adequate assets to function as a shipping company, the Takarabune focuses on the sale and promotion of Kusari traditional products at home and abroad. The company operates several production facilities in Junyo, as well cargo services associated with the foodstuff industry.
It retains its flagship company status in the new structure, with its longtime Chief Supervisor The Fisherman at the helm.

Will you commit piracy?
Quite a pertinent question, one I have been pondering for quite a while. I believe the Takarabune should be a means to expand Hogosha influence and presence in Sirius through more conventional means. Our main goals for the foreign theaters are entering the lawful agricultural and ocean related markets, and using this as a front to enter the unlawful networks of the other houses which rely heavily on the junkers as smugglers.
Hogosha natural tendency is to be full hostile to junkers, but the Takarabune will try compete economically with the opposition, and use 3rd parties to be the muscle when necessary.
In short, inside Kusari we might be hostile, and aid others against the Junkers. Outside though, we will try to avoid direct conflict, and use other groups to pressure the Junkers (not sure how will this work atm, hogosha mercenaries?)
I have met junkers in Liberty and Rheinland (and inside Kusari borders). The junkers revealed to be cautious to my presence, due to lawful forces, and due to not knowing my intentions.
I might not be a great challenge to junker presence, but I hope to improve.
On the piracy front, the company will not engage in piracy, due to it's dependency on good lawful reputation. Occasional operations against enemies (GMG, Junkers in taus, GC/BD) might occur, but not against other commercial targets.
Think of it as a Congress counterpart. The Black Dragon Society is still the model of the orthodox Hogosha roleplay.

Right now, we have no standing relations with the exiles. I am aware of the Exile presence in Tau-29, and will try to ship supplies to them from time to time.
On one hand, we take no sides on the republican/Imperial conflict (can't say the same about the Dragons). However, the patrons of the company (known as the Seven Fortunes) have some concerns on what liberties might be reversed with the return of the imperials to power.
This topic is very open to outside influences: Hogosha relation with the current government, with loyalties to the emperor, and it's demands upon the people of Shikoku.
---------------
Updated Junker relations, added Exile relations, added Unione Corse to neutrals for now.
Low membership and activity prevents the Takarabune from having a constant presence in Kusari. I find myself getting busy traveling to somewhere to sell some goods and get some interaction outside, that I don't spend much time looking for the locals.
Had a few interactions with junkers here and there, but I'm still undecided on where should we try to press them, or even if we should.
Hogosha indies are rare, and I'm not perceptive enough to find them.
The dual goals of acting as Kusari paramilitary group and being the main underworld entity make the Hogosha role somewhat difficult. Some just focus on the former, while I admit I just concentrate on the latter.
Feedbacks, Suggestions and proposals are welcome as always.
A larger Hogosha Association has been created, and the Takarabune Company will integrate it.
The Company will continue to exist, but some of the information will be updated and altered to reflect its new status. Changes will be reported after they are concluded.
