Because Zeta is one of the systems that will fall victim to the great system cull soon. We moved Capetown out early, basically, because we figured it'd be a good Idea to move one base at a time rather than moving all of them out at once (especially since that is far easier to balance, economywise)

Why is fes being moved to Poole and not omega-5 like the sair and hessian leaders agreed on?

For Gods sake don't move it out to a random system early. Can the devs PLEASE stop rolling out incomplete changes to the Omicrons at the expense of my faction? Core is getting sick of it. Our restart is on that base. There is lore that makes constructing a station like that so close to Gamma and away from Core territory idiotic. I don't mean to sound whiney, but after reading the verdict on our player request, as well as the abrasiveness and reluctance I've had from the devs to fix problems with my faction system/zoi wise and infocards wise this is getting annoying.

And reading Skype I can tell you the Corsairs really aren't happy with this either.


I don't mind Zeta being deleted, but it was irritating that it's connection to Delta was cut which put a buffer system between south Omicron factions, instead of the system just being deleted. Incomplete changes are bad. Either roll out the whole thing or don't roll it out at all.

Fes was moved in agreement following discussions with a former Corsair leader. The most recent agreement between the Corsairs and Hessians was not brought to light to the Dev Team until today. @Teerin currently discusses the planned changes for the region with the respective leaders. Do not expect word of mouth to spread to the devteam, please.

Capetown's situation is being discussed amongst the story/system planning developers as well as the relevant faction leaders. Its move from Zeta was not initially in error, but later plans made the station's current location illogical and unfeasible. Expect it to be moved with the Omegas+Hispania Update package, which is one of a few being prepared for 4.88.5, which should (if the usual unexpected delays don't happen) be out well before April.

To shed some insight, with the hundreds of planned changes, an old one like this will occasionally slip through. I'll take fault for it, and will do my best to ensure this error does not repeat itself.

A little late, but better late than never. I promised to post changelogs to the the patches that I have a hand in. Keep in mind that those not only include system changes exclusively, but also only the ones that I release myself.

So, without further ado, the changelog:

- Tau-29: Lanes between FP6 and Tau-31 JG changed to IKN IFF (Oversight fix)
- Frankfurt: Speyer Depot moved to a more sensible spot within the cloud
- Omega-7: Elbe Depot changed to a smaller model
- Magellan: Freeport 4 and Battleship Carcassonne received Class 1 fighter turrets
- Omicron Zeta: Capetown Station moved to Omicron 94
- Omicron-94: Santorini, the cloud is in, and the orbiting colony moved to a new location. Moved Lambda JH to reflect the new layout.
- Munich: Moved Lambda JH farther away to ease economy balancing
- Tau-44: Moved Carriear Hades to final location, initial placement was a mistake. Moved Tottori JH farther away to ease economy balancing.

That about wraps it up. Thanks for your attention.

Is Gallia scheduled for any major changes in the forseeable future e.g. moving of connections or objects? I ask because I'm working on a proposal for an alternate passenger system and would like to do the job right and redo the entire network so that the two areas connect better, naturally I don't want to waste the effort if any changes are planned.

Are you guys planning on adding any new RP systems anytime soon? I know its a strange question to ask considiring a lot of old and unused systems are being removed, but im curious because i love exploring new systems!

Not in the the near future, no. The Gallia update has been done, and the devteam will finish releasing the other parts of 4.88s final release in the planned regional packages. After that, we can reconsider major Gallia changes.

Aside from a few repurposed systems, pretty much no.

Because it will be relatively near to a new Jump Point that will be added with a future update.

EDIT:

The Hispania & Omega package is getting worked on at the moment. My part of this is roughly to 40% done, so we are in fact making progress. There has been a few minor hickups due to merging issues, but those have been fixed by now.
