Powertrading its begging for achieve highest possible C/SU. In case of ore its always 6000-8000 C/S(iirc about ore price modifier) less for any BT in compare for 5k. So you will use transport less than 5k only for - RP trade/transport PvP/playing for faction without 5k obviously.
Statistically one-two time money loss from pirate will be less than your overall win in profit.
P.S. about bombers snac, its afaik still broken and delaying of shield reset if deshiel by it. When you deshield transport by EMP or Asuras or etc, you will have much less time to next shot for light tranport shield, for example. Snac bug make it much easier. Also its ate extra bats on shield reset.
