Your rant, while it might address some valid concerns about some ongoing themes in the mod, does not align with the topic of the thread, which is wars to come Elsewhere.

This post really irks me - sorry but I have to completely disagree.
We (GRN) are open for discussions, and now more than ever as devs respond to players, their requests and desires much more directly. I wish you could see the interactions that we've had with factions that were open-minded and approached us with suggestions to roleplay, make events, /change/ something.
I can guarantee you that things are moving because of people approaching us with suggestions, and the devs helping make that leap for progress, rather than shit-flinging from a distance, crying about "plot armour" when all your efforts are literally just shooting someone a few times and whinging that nothing happened. If you want to complain about plot armour, why not do it against a House that survives wars against two powerful, well-prepared Houses and multiple powerful separatist factions all at once, all the while coming out with a crushing victory?
Let people interact - I'm not sure how far dev tolerance is to player development, but talking together and trying to work something out that can be fun (win or loss doesn't matter here, does it?). It's the players that can incite it and the devs that can make it happen.
The only real issue is official mentality. While it can happen, many governments are either inactive, purposefully ignoring developments or just don't want it to happen and would rather have dead inactivity than conflict with activity. Usually this means that the story team has to push something to happen instead, rather than the players themselves. That's not really intuitive, at least from my perspective.
I just hope other OFLs can be as productive as the Gallic one is.

Also it would be nice if system devs can add capitalship graveyards to some of the systems
Disco systems feels very empty btw, add more stuff like destroyed stations, graveyards, weird space objects etc
Disco systems would be empty and feel empty even if we had a 200 server pop, its unavoidable, to keep the current playerbase interested in stuff devs must make new stuff, and if you make new stuff there's more empty stuff, etc. Which is ok in a way, space is supposed to be empty, the only way you would solve that issue is if you would remove half of the systems and put the remaining ones compactly close together.
Althought I would argue that Gallia looks less empty than the rest of the Sirius

Why do you dare putting your opinion on other people? Restrain yourself.
I "dare" because given the massive amount of #deletegallia sentiment, the testimony of the upwards of 12+ people I talk with on the regular from discovery, and the historical postings of hundreds of others throughout the years I've played Discovery: it's a safe assumption that my claim was correct for a large portion - if not the majority of the community. Just because 1 person - you -, disagree doesn't immediately invalidate what I said.
Should I have said 'everyone'? No, but the figure swings far enough in that direction that the hyperbole is quite applicable.

My special blue text is fabulous and you know it. Next time I'll make it rainbow just for you.

A simple, angry man casually working his way through life on a personal quest to acquire copious amounts of street cred.
The irony is that while many of us think Gallia is way over-stretched and needs to be dialed back a notch or four by the development team, their official factions seem to be really chill and open to OORP cooperation and fair play, if not the most chill, despite the hordes of people outright screaming for their factions' deletion.
Quote:Gallia has become a Mary-sue house- attain a constant string of victories despite the enormous amounts of effort on the part of half of every other faction in the game.
"Faction with large amounts of battleships pushes through systems in two exhausted Houses, more at 11."
Gallia is dealing with terrific threats behind their own lines, against their flanks, and is walking a very fine line with its two trade partners. By no means are things going entirely well with their advance.
Quote:"Gallia wins, everyone else involved lost a lot of ships"
Reductionist. The strain on the GRN from making these offensives is probably tearing them at the seams.
Quote:That exact sentiment is why so few people want anything to do with Gallia. Playing the underdog can be fun but when you have 0 effect on things despite every avenue available to you, people aren't going to want to do anything with it.
Is that why the LNS/CR/LSF/BAF/MN/MNS/C turboswarm is stirred whenever MRG rolls up in Magellan or Orkney? Which is a good thing, by the way. Activity is ++.
Quote:And when you have player-factions that do nothing but go "honhonhon kill them all", it doesn't really help matters.
On what basis? MRG has to keep its cool in the face of indie swarms and factions that openly endorse ganking. I can't speak for everyone, but I've done capture roleplays, discussions and conversations before/instead of fights in Cali or Mag, etc etc.
Quote:Please, for the love of gods devs: get rid of Gallia's plot armor
Having a fleet built up for 300 years isn't plot armor. Is it a convenient plot? Maybe. But so long as it's the canon in Disco, it makes their gains justifiable.
Quote:and find some way to force them to interact with the other houses in a meaningful way beyond stepping on them
I would bet money that Gallia is going to see its fortunes reversed in the next update.
