You're working off the principle the devs are going to look at POBs when system changes are performed. This has never been the case as POBs are handled by FLHook and dynamic by nature. That base could have been sieged and destroyed before the patch hit, just like another base could have been built elsewhere. It really isn't the first time a POB is no longer where the owner envisioned and it is exactly why a POB can be moved under this circumstance. Just ask for the POB to be moved like everyone else.

You're more than welcome to create a thread there and you might get more of a response than what the admins and mods can give you.
exacly ... we MIGHT get !! it is not we will get a response. that is a big difference. i saw threads and ieven created threads that got more replies from dev buddies that dev thenselfs ... some i even don't see any response from then! when people have something, a ship, rp story, base, a trade route, something, and suddendly all is changed without warning, people usually are like "wtf just happened here?" and if nobody that made the change replies ... people get mad!!! and even if we get a response, most the times is even worse ... looks like my country 47 years and 1 day ago!
well ... i just want to say that take care all and stay safe. today is an happy day for my country and even personally for me

Officially they don't.
Unofficially I know for a fact that at least one of the system devs knew the base was there because he sieged right after a previous system change that exposed it to attack.
And the same dev has obsessively been posting about me and my pobs in various discord channels.
All I wanted to know if it was that dev that made the change, with a simple question. Instead of getting a simple answer, I get multiple non answers telling me things I already know and I did not ask, and conspiracy memes.

I know.

At least one system dev tried and failed. Right after a system change that made it more vulnerable.

I know, because I have done it twice before.

Maybe he can put your mind to rest.
You won't get an answer here from Admins who have no idea which Devs did what, to what systems.
Maybe you could... you know... have devs make a feedback thread. Wouldnt be a first time you required people to have one.
I followed up on your suggestion, linked the question to markam in a dev discord, and got this in return:
I would therefore like to repeat the suggestion that there should be a dev feedback channel, where less toxic and more constructive replies can be expected.
I would also like to point out that I asked a very simple question. Who did what was depicted in the png, which showed a JH right next to my pobs. This could have been over by giving a simple name, maybe with that person additionally explaining the reasoning for doing what he did.
Instead we get... this.
You may say that "admins are not responsible for what devs do". But you are responsible for:
Quote:Server Administrators are obliged:
To develop and safeguard the health of the Discovery Freelancer community, official server, and forums.
To be fair and treat all players equally independent of their level and faction alignment.
Not to mix server roleplaying with server administration in any way.
Not to ignore any cases of server rule violations that are reported.
So please, make a dev feedback thread where they are required to answer in a half way civil and constructive manner. The dev behavior we see on discord, and their and your constant "conspiracy" memes arent doing the community health any favors.
Thank you for listening.
p.s: Also, it looks like Delta was not rescaled, and that the jh-dabadorou switch was the only change, according to what the person who justified it (same person who sieged it and obsessively posted about me and my pobs in various discord channels) says.

No I dont, because I didnt ask what was done. I could see what was done.
I asked who did it. So far I have not had confirmation that the person who justified it is the person who did it.
Also please dont ignore everything I said except the part where you think you can score a point (and you still couldnt). Especially the parts about getting devs to improve their behavior by maybe stopping to constantly troll as a reply to everything, and making a feedback thread where they are required to give non trolling replies, for the sake of the community's faith in the team.

a) I wasn't trolling and I wasn't after points.
b) I am not ignoring your accusation, with no supplied evidence of malicious intent, of wrong doing. But with pure supposition, there is nothing I/we can do unless he/she/they come forward and admit their guilt.
c) I can't force the Devs to have a Feedback Thread. That is a decision for the Dev Leads. Maybe you need to contact them.

There have always been a variety of dirty tricks playable on players by both ends of the 'staff' that don't leave evidence to be reported. I'm not aware of anywhere else where the players must also fight the game itself and those able to alter it. Succeed at something? Those who don't like you can change the game around you to make it harder! That is discovery.
The routine system layout changes are totally useless. A fix here and there yes, but unless its absolutely necessary they shouldn't be changing the mod layout, save for adding new systems. You guys are artists that can't stop working on an art piece that ruin it by going past its best point. Its just in itch, and its causes people to pick at the threads of this place, and that only leads to unravelling. We need new systems, not to relearn areas that have been the same for years. No one wants to rediscover the same places over. It also keeps open a margin for careful manipulation. Story changes are expected but they are also often miraculous in working out for the favored factions of those who become devs. It must be a secret prerequesite to become a dev that you love Gallia and agree to protect it.
Its no conspiracy theory that staff on either side have worked secretly against players when they knew they could get away with it, and will deny deny deny all the way through even still. Their argument is always 'how dare player x expect us to not do this or that'. And then they wonder why this place has problems or why population only ever shrank. So it seems no one wants to take responsibility because it might indeed be evidence to suggest she's right...? Doesn't sound so far fetched to me.
@Karlotta this place is not the same mod or group anymore. It doesn't seem like anything is ever going to change here in the other direction, and you can't argue with these guys, they already know everything! My advice to everyone frustrated is to just give them what they want, abandon your bases, lesson your involvement. The majority of the people here now are either faction heads, admins or people with yellow names. Its a devs mod now, they are the ones actually playing the game, the rest of us are only good to them as cannon fodder. Its just a fact, devs remake the game as they like it, and favor who they do. Is it fair? Not at all, but they likely think so. The inner party gets its privileges, the outer party members get reduced rations. The doublethink is 'its better' like its doubleplusgood! In the end, because of all of that, we've seen this place's best years already, and without real change its basically over here except for stragglers.
I'm not even saying that moving the JH right next to my pob, of all places, was a dirty trick intentionally played on me, even tho there were plenty of dirty tricks played on me and on others by staff before.
All I did was ask who was responsible for it happening, before implying anything else. And I asked because a friend sent me panicked PMs telling me I should prepare for another siege because my pob was now blocking a JH for non Order ships, and because one of the system devs (the one who did the last siege) had been busy posting propaganda against me and my pobs over various discord channels for a fair amount of time.
It's the reaction from various staff members that is absolutely abysmal, a give-away of their toxic mentality, and should leave no one wondering why literally nobody has faith in them. They start "conspiracy" memeing, answering with non answers about things nobody asked, trolling and misrepresenting my position, and blatantly and verifiably lying on discord about the timing of the previous siege after the previous system change to delta.
And the beauty of it all is that most of them are genuinely unaware that they are the ones poisoning the community with their behavior, because hey, they are doing exactly what they have always seen staff do, so how can they be wrong, they are staff and everyone's doing it, right?

It's just a coincidence, no one is out to get you. Just post a player request and they'll move it.
Simply scaling down a system doesnt put pobs right next to jhs "by coincidence".
Hoshizora Travel Company was next to Planet Kyushu. Because of the rescale its now in the nebula. Rescaling systems can put pobs in really weird places. A player request is all that is needed to move it. They will even do it for free if its due to system changes.
