Fleet Admiral,

I shall not waste any of your precious time with unnecessary information and introductions and get straight to the subject of this transmission. I come forward to you today with a request that might appear as most unexpected, but provided the most recent operations the Akhetaten has been in, it in fact is not.

I have spared the time to document the most important transmissions of the past few months and have taken care of read-only access to be granted to you for the purposes of this transmission.

My request, directly put, is for the creation of Attack Group Akhetaten with the leading flagship being the Akhetaten herself.

With the various operations that the Osiris-class has been a part of, it has became apparent that the majority of tasks the Akhetaten is needed to complete require a task-force to cover the battleship and ensure direct and immediate assistance will be provided if necessary. That does not imply that the Akhetaten is forfeiting her role as a warship capable of operating behind enemy lines and independently of allied battlegroups, but is rather meant to be a measure of increasing the battleship's effectiveness in direct combat which is a more common scenario for us to be caught in over the past years.

With the details of my request aside, the attached transmissions will follow.

The Insurgency did in fact invade California within twenty-four hours upon Operative Draco's warning. The battle that took place in California was a large one - one of the largest of the past few years the Akhetaten has been in - and while our side suffered minimal casualties after practically stomping the Insurgency's forces, the Osiris-class herself sustained massive damage due to being the primary focus for all hostile forces.

Over the past weeks, the Akhetaten has been kept busy in Colorado guarding the jumpgate into Kepler and scanning every vessel going in and out of the system in search for human organ smugglers upon various reports of such smuggling to be taking place at large amounts in the direction of Ames Research Facility, purpose unknown. I have deployed the battleship's personal wing into the Texas system for occasional patrols upon gathering intelligence that the human organ smugglers seemed to come from Cologne, but the Akhetaten Wing itself is not enough to cover an area that large.

I trust that the creation of the proposed attack group, which would include the current Akhetaten Wing into it, would help in yielding much more highly favorable outcomes on all upcoming operations that the Akhetaten is part of.

Commodore Uhmen,

I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the ongoing streak of achievements Project Akhetaten is showing. After Edwards' sudden resignation, we have put you in charge of the project as the new Captain of the Vessel. And so far, it has paid off. However, assigning an entire Task Force to you and the Akhetaten is a rather large task and responsibility. But reading through the documents you provided, I am sure you can, will, and have to manage. Because I do not like the word 'failure' that much. I am not wearing the Medal of Honor on my chest because I fail often, yet, failure is human and we all fail from time to time. But it is important to stand up and admit that we did fail so we are not repeating the same mistake twice.

But enough of me lecturing you and scaring you, Commodore. I have thought about it and considering that the Akhetaten is one of our most modern if not the most modern ship in combination with being one of our fastest ones, I am willing to grant your request. Task Force Akhetaten will be under your command from now on. I will assign Battlecruiser L.N.S. Springfield and Battlecruiser L.N.S. Pasadena as heavy escorts to the Akhetaten. Currently, there are four Siege Cruisers in production at Juneau. They are almost complete and only need to run through checks. Those four will also be assigned to your Task Force. If you do well and the Task Force can provide achievements, I might think about assigning a Carrier to it later on. To identify the ships belonging to your Task Force, I demand the change of all the transponders to bear the TFA in front of their usual designation.

Congratulations, Commodore. You are playing in the big league now. Make me and Liberty proud. Non sibi sed patriae.

Oh and before I forget it. I will commence a personal inspection of the Akhetaten soon. Prepare the ship and the crew.
