This thread is for anyone who wishes to express their views, either positive or negative, regarding how I play my AI in the service of humanity and the Colonies, 776-28X. Originally, I was hesitant to play an AI here due to the stigma associated with Gammu AI. However, as the Core managed to occupy the their planet and start plundering any technologies they could find, it gave me a good excuse to play a human-made AI as faithfully as possible to the lore.
My previous experiences with Gammu AI faction in the game were limited to only /1 /2 players in various ganksquads who used their IDs to shoot any transports they saw. Essentially just Nomads with a white IFF and nothing more. This closely relates to another negative aspect of Gammu AI, which was the absence of any coherent lore. It simply had no clear place or role ingame aside from pewing. They only 'existed' with no clear goal in mind aside from 'exploring'.

That's a shame that you didn't get to meet PRIME and other AI Groups who did a lot of RP with high standards. True, there were people who abused the AI ID 'just to prove a point' and try to undermine the ID. Yeah, they sort of had a point to exist where-as they were overly curious and continously trying to self-evolve but their lore change again with 5.0.
From my experience, there is no middle ground from AI. Either superb and well thought out RP or ID grey area PVP must wins.
I haven't logged in for months but here soon when I have more time I'll pop in and see if I can find you. Nice to see some players out there still interested in RP here.
I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments. But rather, by the strength we show when, and if, we're ever given a second chance.
I'm aware of the new lore Gammu/Technocracy got after patch 5.0 but it still doesn't entice me at the moment. In my humble opinion, any eventual 'freedom' is something that should be at the end of the AI story, not at the beginning. It should be the product of some character development based on the environment and in-game interactions. Or any desire for freedom may not even happen and my character can remain a useful tool of the people around it.
Far more interesting is the Core side, which has allowed this AI character to be firmly anchored on the side of authorities and corporations, which is the perfect place for such a relatively expensive character in terms of operation and maintenance. Subsequent submission to authorities, in my opinion, beautifully portrays the position such an artificial life form would hold in a dystopian human society.
The very fact that Core has conquered the planet Gammu and plunders any technologies it finds there is a perfect reason for the existence of a character like 776-28X.
I can only look forward to meeting you in-game. Catching glimpses of your forum dialogue I can see that this is rare, but serious execution of an AI personality.

I resonate with this.
Lastly, as others have said, do what you think is fun. But I can give you my vote that this is definitely a breath of fresh air.
My only interaction with you has been seeing your comm to Detroit, which I haven't responded to yet because I've been busy irl, but I enjoyed it and I'm eager to see you ingame and respond to your comm. I always love seeing AI characters, whether Gammu or human-made, so definitely keep it up, you've already made a good impression on me
