"Ameliorate"-Class Transport Pilot Training Gaining transport training from Kishiro to fly the Kujira transport
Starfliers Research Project
The Junkers have assisted the Starfliers in the past, not only recovering a transport wreck from Ontario, but restoring it enough to be flight worthy for their use. Over the few months, it's occurred to them that these transports have their use with other niche groups. The design of such a transport being mostly comprising of reftrofitted components, the servicing and upkeep of such ships remains solely with the Junkers. This is where the Starfliers are pursuing a more legitimate and legal upgrade. To leverage their sponsorship deal, an attempt to obtain the rights to fly the "Kujira"-Class transport from Kishiro Technologies is the next step in being fully committed to looking like a self-sustaining legal entity within space. With a significant amount of funds set aside to purchase the transports and gain the training, it has been calculated that it will not take long to recover the funds by using the vessel in standard logistical avenues.

The transports obtained from the Junkers do perform well, but with their outdated fuel system and patchwork design, the vessel is always on the edge on either falling apart or running out of fuel. The records here are to show that these Retrofit transports do serve the Junkers well, but for the Starfliers where they do into deep space, they are essentially lost if they fall apart far from any station or shipyard.
The cheapest way for the Starfliers to pursue any form of upskilling would be to obtain transport training. This is nothing new for the Starfliers, as it has been done twice beforehand. As the vessel we have our eyes on is one of Kusarian origin and built by Kishiro Technologies, it may be for the best we work with them directly on getting the training. Realistically we could train with other shipping companies.
The Kujira was chosen for it's rather simple design, high cargo capacity, colourway not broadcasting any particular House and that the mounting points for arms are non-existant. Matching up one-hundred-percent with the Starfliers' strict pacifism. With only a single point of sale within Sirius, that being in the heart of GMG space, the Starfliers are unable to get their hands on such a ship as the Gas Mining Guild has asked us not to fly around in their space. Convincing a third party to buy the ships on their behalf would be the best way forward. Though we are unsure if this will work or not.
