No this wasn't an attempt to use coalition ships (my ship plan list would be mostly independent fighters and bombers.
As for the sol coalition, that is something that I have been trying to make the faction as... making that rp is much more difficult though. The only way I can see it is that a small group of modern discovery coalition rebel against the SCRA ways of operating in Sirius and putting things into their own hands.

I had to laugh at this:P. Sounds like that will be the only way to operate unless we go independent IFF.
Quote:Or, heck with it, you could make them a Soviet-sounding pirate faction with no ties whatsoever to the Sirius Coalition. The Sol Coalition, sure, but not the SCRA. The only issue with that would be how they got to Sirius, because the Sleeper ship idea is already taken by the SCRA.
Could always make an infested coalition group with superior nomad technology, but might as well play die Wilde.

Just as a heads up, the SCRA's political monitoring branch, the Commissariat is brutally effective, as are the intelligence networks. Any splinter group that was trying to break away from the main Coalitionary body would be discovered, the leaders arrested and summarily executed, with any followers placed on trial.

I am expecting to be fleeing from them the whole time, as any rl terrorist would.

No my point is, if you are a splinter group from the civilian portion of the SCRA, you'd all be dead before you got to your ships to escape in. Even if you did get to the ships, you'd be dead before you left the system. Not that the civilians have ships, or have access to ships...
Plus, if that cruiser is unrepairable, how are you using it? Also, if the SCRA has to abandon a ship, we'll destroy it entirely. We won't leave technology behind to allow alliance scientists to dissect them and find out how they work, or scavengers to hijack them and utilise it for their own ends.

Hi! This is your friendly cold bucket of water.
No, you won't, and no, you won't.
