Austin mumbled something under his breath and took a seat, he never did enjoy being in the same room as the Countess, nor did he like being in a back room with people that might be a lowlife thugs. Though he did notice this man to be a former Armed Forces Officer.
Either way, two former Officers in the same room wasn't quite something he was looking forward to. "I'm listening." He said after he took his seat and glanced over at Lafiel for a second before returning his eyes to the man that had requested him to come into this room. "That is of course if you're willing to talk."
Razor smiled and said "Well you see Mr. Jackson i as the member of the Guild cannot just go out there and start shooting Kusari military or police personnel same goes for other houses, because all house authorities are friendly with us Hunters so being born in Bretonia i want to help, and i thought i as a Bounty Hunter must be an experienced pilot so that the Guild would accept me and then i thought i could help with training of new recruits, however i doubt the Armed Forces need someone like me, and since me and the Commander are friendly sort of speak, i thought id help the Bretonian Citizens Army."
Lafiel suddenly felt both selfconcious and placed herself at the head of the table making sure that she had both Oliver and Goodmen on either side of her.
She mused to herself what a curious turn of events I had only come here to meet lady Mertel and explore a place I'd never been and well now I have most definitely gotten a very interesting spectacle to behold. She focused her thoughts on the matter at hand regarding everyone in the room.
Eric took a long moment before he spoke, he took a seat and began to check his data pad, after he had assured himself they where alone he turned towards Austin and the Countess..
Eric: I am more then willing to talk Mr Goodman, more then willing, as you may or may not have heard, we aren't ordinary soldiers, or officers, at least I am not..
We are fighting for the people lad, something I believe that you can relate to..
And Countess forgive me for my rash behavior over the coms, but trust me when I say, this isn't a rabble we are building, this isn't a voluntary mislead, misguided armed forces group, we are a people's army, an army willing to fight for this nation, no matter what.
If the armed forces could fight this war alone then I wouldn't have managed all of this.
All the men and women that have joined us, believe that the Citizens army can and will do what needs to be done, no matter what.
Now, Austin, may I call you Austin? Or do you prefer Mr Goodman?
I myself prefer Eric..
I know of what has happened to you, and why you are considered a traitor, but trust me, no one in the Militia, save a few feel that way. We all have seen you as a hero, and amongst us no one will give you up to the authorities..
Meanwhile, outside:
Jackson took a long look at the Bounty Hunter, he had mixed emotions when it came to the guild, but he knew they've done alright in his eyes..
Jason: Alright mate, say we'd trust you with this, will you be training the men while working for the guild, or will you do it while being an ordinary man? A Citizen?
It's an important question mate, as you can understand..
Some of the fellow's may not like the idea of being taught by a Guild member..
He smiles as he put out his cigar in the ash tray, and took another gulp of the pint.
Lafiel didn't respond though she mused to herself as she remembered through out history how such risen armies were then turned upon the governments of whom they protected but she kept the quiet thought to herself.
As Goodmen looked over to her she held his gaze momentarily before he looked away she smiled but felt a slight sadness that he was still uncomfortable in her presence as she did regard him so highly.
Lafiel spoke directly in response to the commander, " You may call me Countess, Countess Tarrant or Lady Tarrant, I do believe Goodmen has many names for me but I do not know you and will not extend such freedoms to you."
She let out a sigh before she continued she knew that this next part was going to get very interesting very quick.
"Well commander if you are so heart set on this course of action then the only course is to minimise the effect of such irational behaviour. In the interest of preventing loss of life I will make sure you are better suppled medically. Funds for equipment I may be able to call in a few more people for your medical staff and in addition to assist in the training of this army at the very least the innocent civilians you send to die deserve a training level as close to the armed forces standards as one can get in such short time ." The countess paused momentarily to think on how best phrase her thoughts, "You must also know that your opinion is flawed of the armed forces to which you are nolonger a part of are doing fine without such assistance as the loss of many civilian lives to be put unto the flame. Your words do no good for they only suit to spark irational behaviour in people and demoralise troops and civilians alike you must cease such silliness it is the equivilent of having a kusari propoganda team on home soil in all fairness."
The Countess sat quietly once more regarding the reactions of everyone
"Frankly, if the authorities wanted to catch me, I would've been in jail some time ago. The bar keep tends to keep my presence fairly quiet around here as do the usual customers, this rag-tag minuteman group you've seem to assembled, by what I've been hearing, is quite interesting. Though if any of your chaps do decide they want a piece of me." A thin smile appeared on his lips, "They'd have to understand it's hard to catch someone that knows the tactics of the Armed Forces."
He paused for a slight second, and took a deep breath in before glancing over at Lafiel again, then back at Eric. "You can call me Goodie, as that just so happens to be my nickname from a long time friend. Though if you want to be formal, Austin, works just as well. No?"
A woman walked up to the bar entrance, wearing a black trenchcoat. Her appearance was strange, as she did not seem to be touched by the torrential rain that scored the planet, her hair seemed almost dry. She waved to Razor as she walked inside, taking a seat in the corner of the bar.
A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Listens will to both people but responds at first at the Countess, he has a smile across his lips when he says it and an glad tone when he says.
Eric: Well Lady Tarrant, it isn't but what I am doing in the end, it is what the citizens and workers of Bretonia wishes to do, they want to fight with what they have, no matter what, they will fight with the spirit of Bretonia backing them up.
But I believe that any help you can give is more then welcome, and I believe that your already existing reputation amongst the citizens will grow if you'd give your support in this way.
And I thank you for it, we need all the help we can get..
Thank you Lady Tarrant..
But know this, I do not send innocents into their deaths, I fight for their lives I do not wish to see them waste theirs, especially since I intend to be with them all the way..
Grayson, do you believe now that youl be able to do what you do now, with the medical supplies the Countess Tarrant can provide to the Militia?
He turned back to the Countess with a smile
Eric: But My Lady Tarrant, know that I believe in the Armed Forces aswell, I just know that what we are doing, is something that Bretonia needs.
They need a cause, they need to have someone actually asking THEM to fight for their homes..
There is no greater purpose of war, then that of protecting ones home, no?
He takes his time listening to what Austin is saying, he carries a slight smile while listening to him, thinking that this man has some good points, especially when it came to being captured.
He even chuckled when Goodman was finished, he took up his datapad and looked at it then he said.
Eric: Well, Goodie, no one in this bar, no one in the Citizens army wouldn't want to catch you, and even if they did, I am sure you'd be able to evade our attempts..
But let me ask you, what was your reasons for doing what you did?
I always wanted to hear your thoughts..
He smiles and listens to Austin, The doctor and Lady Tarrant
Meanwhile, in the bar area.
Jackson took a long look at Razor, then he sighed and lit up another cigar, and took a gulp of his pint, such a small young man, but he seamed to have quite an apatite for beer.
Jason: Well, let's do it as a Civilian shall we? That way no one of the Guild can be pissed of at you, ey?
He looked at the woman that walked into the bar recently, he did not know her face from before, nor did he had seen such a strange person before, at least not in here.
He looked at Razor, who seamed to know the woman, as she waved at him.
