Game says: 3575 range
Wiki Says : 3250 range
Test says: 3000 range
How much the range should be actually?

Uhuh. Use sub-targets to select a hardpoint on the front of a ship. The problem is, most modded ships don't have wireframes, making that stupidly difficult.
In any case, by default, most ships aim for the centre of their rival. On fighters that makes no difference, but it can shave up to 500m off your range when you're fighting big battleships.
Will do test on fighters and will report here.
I know you can remove some of your range like that, I am thinking it is connected with the projective "lifetime"
It works vs fighter at 3.3k and once or 2 times it does not work at 3.4k.
So the wiki is kinda right even with 3,5k range you can effectively hit only on 3k or less. Since you wont use Cerberus vs small ships.

Actually it was a mere oversight while I updated it. Unless it got changed in the last update that is.

Ship radius is subtracted from the range. The distance measured on the gun is from the firing hardpoint to the center of the enemy ship, but the display distance is to the edge of it's radius. This difference isn't significant, unless the ship is VERY large - which the Legate is. This is Freelancer client hardcoded behaviour and we cannot change this.
The projectile will travel the advertised distance once fired.
