Animation means performance on some weapons- with better projective without tracers they would be more easy to aim, or the other way around- SNAC with tracer is more easy to use for example. This is how it works for me, for other people is otherwise- they aim better with tracer projectives.

I think he's more looking for a visual effect he can see better on his machine rather than trying to mod the gun so it performs better.
For myself, on minimum graphics, some guns like the Gallic cruiser guns and Xeno Black Widow & SunTiger guns show up without any projectile at all, just flashing lights on the wings of the ship. IF I move the effects up to maximum I can see the projectile but then get FPS lag.
For U5, a friend showed me how to make the projectile appear with the color like a flashpoint on my machine without making a change to the actual in game projectile. That worked for me. With U6 another friend changed the ALE file for the black widows for me but ran into the same problem of needing the effects ramped up which defeated the purpose of making the change.
Haven't had time the last few weeks to try again on the INI file but had promised Cannon I'd do so and provide him with a copy of the edits.
Facedesk I wanted to say dodge instead of use because of the tracer. :dodgy:

If you check the Codes you would see the same guns with slightly different variations because of the Projective type- let say Haimdail and Excalibur. You can laugh as much as you wish but the difference by aiming with different colour/projective type is really huge for some people.
