    Areas of Interest

    Nebulae

    Hallam Nebula

A beautiful and complex nebula that contains the Ralston Ice Field.

    Asteroid Fields

    Appalachian Asteroid Field

Appalachian Asteroid Field is a place where New York Jump Gate in Pennsylvania is located. The gate and nearby trade lane made this area popular with pirates, most notably Liberty Rogues. It is rumored that a Rogue base is located in one of the remote regions of this large field. Despite the dangers, Appalachian is an asset of value for freelancers and small shipping companies: central part of the field is rich with hydrocarbons that can be mined from asteroids without much effort. Quantities of hydrocarbons are not sufficient for industrial extraction, and larger companies did not show interest in using local deposits.

Ralston Ice Field (Helium Mining Zone)

Ralston Ice Field is located within the Hallam Nebula. The field is notable for significant amounts of helium trapped in the asteroids that form the field. Extremely low temperatures within the nebula do not allow to use asteroid miners in the field, however, standard cargo tracking equipment installed on most ships allows to mine out this element in small quantities.

    Meadville Ice Asteroid Field

Meadville is a medium-sized field of ice asteroids with no traces of valuable resources. It is rumored that one of the largest asteroids has been converted into a base by one of the Liberty pirate factions, most probably Xenos. Meadville also contains a jump hole leading from Pennsylvania into Kansas system.

    Scranton Asteroid Field

A medium-sized field of rock asteroids. Barely explored, this field is located in one of the most remote regions of Pennsylvania and often serves as a hideout for Rogues and other dangerous criminals chased by Bounty Hunters or Police patrols.

    Driftwood Ice Asteroid Field

A large field of ice asteroids on the outskirts of the Pennsylvania system. Xeno activity is significant within the field.

    Wilkes-Barre Asteroid Field

A desolate medium-sized rock asteroid field. Traces of valuable metals have been found by initial surveys conducted by Zoners, but no further research has been made due to increasing pirate activity in the Pennsylvania system.

    Wrecks

    Lenox - B-1

This ship was part of a patrol formation that skirted the Appalachian Field, from how mangled the hull is it appears the ship was torn apart by explosives. With Xenos operating in the system, its more than possible one of their asteroid traps ensnared a victim and sent the carcass hurtling through the field.

    Contains:

    Albion - B-4/3

The Albion was a Rogue fighter that had undertaken a cardamine run from Niverton, but the pilot ran into the clutches of an LPI ambush, having been sold out by the Junkers. As is the case with NCR felonies, the Rogue is either dead or enjoying a long stay at Sugarland.

    Contains:

    Verne - D/C-5/4

The Verne was a Zoner freighter bound for Bethlehem with much needed supplies, but when interdicted by Rogues that wanted to steal the cargo for some quick cash, the pilot tried his best to escape. Evidently, he found little success in this venture.

    Contains:

    Stardust - C/D-1

The Stardust was a vessel that belonged to a prolific smuggler, Rufus Blackwell. He had a reputation for being too slippery for the LPI to pin down, and so eventually the Bounty Hunters Guild was offered a hefty reward if they could put an end to his illicit business. The Hunters soon devised a plan and successfully baited the Stardust into a trap, firmly applying a full stop to Blackwell's legacy.

    Contains:

    Lynch - F-7

Lynch is a Barracuda-type heavy fighter that once belonged to a well-known Bounty Hunter, David Brenson. Lane Hackers somehow found out who was Brenson's next target, and sent a large squad to overtake him and his teammate in Pennsylvania. Though outnumbered and outgunned, Brenson managed to destroy all of his attacker's ships, but his ship was damaged beyond repair and is still trapped somewhere in the Driftwood Asteroid Field. Brenson's body was never found.

    Contains:

    Ogre - C-3/2

The Xeno pilot who flew the Ogre was atypical for his lot, mild mannered and unassuming in appearance. This humble countenance was harshly contrasted by his absolutely reckless style of flying, often ramming enemy vessels and shattering their cockpits. Judging by the state of the wreckage, it appears the pilot bit off more than he could chew, but there are signs that he could have ejected and is still at large.

    Contains:

    Weedville - F/G-7

Weedville was a Junker CSV that was unexplainably lost in the Pennsylvania wilderness in 814 AS In her last communication with the base, the pilot said that she was going to explore a "remote orange nebula". No one saw her or the CSV again.

    Contains:

    Gaeta - D/E-3

Gaeta was a Zoner light fighter, tasked with escorting a supply shipment. The entire wing was lost and only the Gaeta's damaged remains were discovered months later by enterprising Junkers on the hunt for salvage.

    Contains:

    Redwich - E-7/8

Redwich is a Starlancer that was purchased by a freelancer who has just started his career. One of his first missions lead him into the Driftwood Asteroid Field, from which he never returned, becoming one more victim of this ill-famed field. Some Zoners believe that this field is cursed, and pilots who head there should never stay for longer than a few hours. Others don't believe in mystics; while it is true that amount of ships that get lost in Driftwood is somewhat higher than in other Pennsylvania fields, skeptics remind that the field is rarely patrolled by Liberty forces and has notable pirate activity.

    Contains:

    Jump Gates/Holes

    Target System Type Location
    New York Jump Gate C-2
    Kansas Jump Hole C-7
