Following the successful reincarnation of the Beetle, Ceres Innovations determined that an additional heavier model would maximise commercial revenue. By increasing the lower engine's compartment to accommodate an expanded powercore, the Locust would offer lavish firepower with little to no impact to the vessel's agility. Much like its namesake the ship is designed to swarm and ravage its predators, however, the Locust also finds itself in the hands of unwanton marauders who plague the lanes with pestilence.
