Quote:ne of the reasons why I took this route as opposed to the more traditional one is that I have been constantly amazed by the enthusiasm and talent shown by all of you for my previous work. You have skinned other games to be in the Wing Commander universe, built detailed 3D models of what were much simpler ones back in the day, modded Freelancer to be able to do things we never considered, and extended its life much longer than anyone dreamed.
A key goal on my new game is to involve you all in the process early to help shape the world alongside myself. So please continue to participate in our Citizens Forums, Comm-Link and Polls!
In the meantime I need to get back to coding so you'll have something cool to see next month:)
Yours humbly,
Chris Roberts

Btw, when are the BHG|Core, Order|, =LSF=, and [TBH] members online? Every time I log on, I never see them, so I just quit the game again, which is giving me an excuse to continue my period of inactivity.

How long have you been living under a metaphorical rock?

<strike>With all due respect, I fail to see how I've been living under a rock if the article I mentioned was posted today.</strike>
EDIT: Ok, I just found the section on the Roberts Space Industries forums with all the Discovery members, so now I see what you mean. My sincerest apologies.

Chris Roberts (Freelancer, Privateer, Wing Commander) is really back and he apparently has a project on his mind, over the next 24 months of development he will follow, or at least try, the requirements of the fans, on his forum http://robertsspaceindustries.com. We should , as fans of Freelancer, join and post as much as we can on the Freelancer page to prove this game still has a community and that this community wants a FL2. Our devs can also support Chris since they have alot of experience in developing forum requests (check player docking on other player ship, this is epic), so they would be a great asset to the robertindustries forum. I strongly believe its time for Freelancer to return and show once again what a space sim should and must be.
