Simple question but not sure of the answer, if a fighter docks on a capital ship mid-battle, does that count as a PvP death, or can it launch and rejoin the fight later?
My guess is no. For the first part i seem to remember Cannon saying something about that and for the second part it does not give you a docking message, which makes it impossible to prove.
I think technically yes, but it's really hard to prove, you'll need to take screenshots constantly. Plus docking on a ship gives you nothing, you can't resupply or something alike.

I was curious about that and made this topic and the best answer so far was this:
' Wrote:The idea behind player docking is to allow docking in mid-combat for tactical reasons. Having your bombers pound the enemy battleship, then returning to dock before the enemy fighters can kill them is a perfectly valid tactic. There is a counter to it; Kill the enemy carrier, combined with the inability to buy new bots, which means it can be stopped and isn't an unbalanced ability. Currently the rules are a grey area on this, as it could be interpreted as docking in combat, or it could be interpreted as not, as you aren't docking a base. This needs clarification, but I'm going to assume the clarification will be along the lines of "it's allowed."
So it means.. I launch bomber from player battleship, do some damage to capitals, dock with bomber to same player battleship then log a fighter and rejump into the fight. This would be valid, because I haven't died in pvp death.
Indeed- there is sweet thing to have 3--4 ships docked on one, or at least I understand it like that.

(yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)

Right?
Or better yet have the fighter logged off docked on the carrier too.
To date I know of no discussion on making a rule on this. I happen to already have an opinion on it and I'm more then curious about the opinions of not only the current admins but new ones as well. I imagine we will get back on this.
