We couldn't add them, but here are the future news articles as penned by our own Laowai (which will be added pending approval from sir Igiss)!
Terrorism works:
Encouraged by the recent success that the Mollys in Brettonia have had in getting the Government there to come to the table and talk terms. The Xenos have stepped up their attacks on targets throughout Liberty in the hope of provoking a similar response from the Liberty Government. We know they are hurting a spokesman for the Xenos said recently, For every 3 ships that make it into Liberty, they are losing at least one. The Xenos attacks have recently become Liberty-wide, indicating a degree of organization higher than what was originally believed, Liberty forces, while coping for now are finding themselves increasingly stretched thin by the constant harassment.
A Problem of Cash Flow.
Money has always been a problem for the Xenos. A grass roots organization made up of mostly disgruntled lower class workers and their families, the Xenos have never had much of a cash reserve to call upon. Raiding supplements their income, through the sale of stolen parts and commodities, as well as plundering the last remains of silver from the silver fields of Colorado. It is rumored that they may also have a number of secret beneficiaries within the upper classes of Liberty itself who donate funds and support to the group. Though this has never been proven and no one has ever been formally charged in this area.
Someone on the inside.
Xenos have no shortage of manpower. As the number of dissatisfied workers in Liberty grows owing to the Governments economic policies there, so to do ranks of the Xenos. Their brand of simple politics and nationalism is an attractive drawcard for many among the millions of bitter and angry out of work people of Liberty. The prison ships of Texas also provide a reservoir of hardened recruits, where the Xenos are aided by insiders in the LPI itself, who are always eager to make a quick buck under the table.
We stand alone
Or do they? Recent reports have indicated a level of tolerance shown to some non Liberty factions from the Xenos themselves. Particularly the Zoners and the IMG. Speculation about possible attempts at real diplomacy from the Xenos might be premature however, as indicated in comments made during a recent Xeno pirate radio broadcast in New York. We dont need anyone else in Liberty the speaker said, We look after our own. We wont go trashing through someone elses backyard, but we dont welcome others coming and trashing through ours.
A ready made Army.
The desperate Liberty citizens that join the Xenos bring with them a multitude of skills and abilities. Ranging from technicians to Doctors, Priests to laborers there is no shortage of ability within the ranks. Its not technical skill we lack said a Xeno spokesman, That we have plenty of, if your ship is damaged, we have ample people who can fix it, its the parts to fix it with that we sometimes lack.
The fickle nature of supply and the deep pool of talent has made the Xenos skilled improvisers and well versed in making do. Skills which will be needed if they ever hope to achieve their political aims in the face of the stiff and determined resistance from the Liberty military.
' Wrote:It needs some wrecks. DSE exploration vessels maybe?
I tried to do that, but there were no wrecked ships available that were suitable. The Navy wrecks and the lone Junker CSV wreck are the only one's I could do out of what we had planned.
By the way, 1,000 credits from my own pocket to the first person who can find the Junker wreck! Oh, and no cheating... discover it by good old fashioned exploration. Please? Proof must be provided by a screenshot. Gives me my own peace of mind that people actually looked at the system in game. Oh, and XA members are not allowed to compete, since some of you already know where it is.
Tau-45 dosent sound so great to me... I prefer Louisiana....
Some say that he is allergic to a fungus found only between the toes of Corsairs,
and that he is oblivious to 98% of Liberty Law. All we know is... He's called the Busdriver!
I think the stations shoul be changed... to New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport

' Wrote:Personally I think it fits perfectly, naming stations after battles in a lost cause. What else is more fitting than that for a faction based entirely on a lost cause?
The Texans lost just about every battle except the last one at San Jacinto. I guess that is the one that counted! Like auto racing - just have to win the last lap.

And we can't name a base after that battle because the Liberty Navy stole it for a base in Virginia.... GRRRRR.....
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
Im telling you my three are the way to go. The Xenos act more Louisianian than Texan anyway. so it just makes since.
