Just to clear something up - I don't have update4 installed, something is blocking the download even without nod32, so thats the log with update3 I suppose.

The file will not allow me to place DSace.dll into the EXE folder. I get a message each time saying I require Administator access to do it. It is specific to this one Dll, every other file I can do whatever I want to. I also tried placing the file into the folder under a new name, and then rename it to DSAce.dll, it allowed the file to be moved, but did not allow me to rename it properly. So I tried another reinstall of Disco Freelancer and ran into this during the installation.
Two additional attempts yielded the same thing. This time I completely removed all Anti-Virus programs from the machine before trying any of this, no dice. Is there any chance this problem could be Windows based instead?

Have you tried installing it outside of Program Files? It can cause issues with Freelancer installations.
My installation is in: C:\Users\<Echo>\Freelancer Directory\Discovery\Discovery Freelancer 4.87.0
(A lot of subfolders, yes... helps keep the WIP Dev files separate from the clean install.)
The new Osprey is Too much ugly wrt previous one which was actually very beautiful and may be there is some problem with power core because 4 elite gun and 2 turret fire doesn't consume much energy
