It has been months since I received that letter from Charlotte. The saddest part is the fact that it's the only instance I've heard -about- her in that time. She hasn't appeared in the news, hasn't sent letters, didn't bring anything home. Did she completely give up on even thinking about what she left behind? As much as I've began to hate her for what she had said to me, it's not encouraging to hear the royalty and their servants gossip about the disappearing duchesse. Speaking of titles, I've managed to get over the emotional storm that plagued me and prevented me from ruling, the last few months were under my supervision as the regent. I will rightfully claim what truly belongs to me if my sister went and completely abandoned what I ceded, even temporarily!

I've been hearing rumours that the Duc hasn't actually passed away calmly. I've overheard a group of the château's servants gossiping about my father, so I stood behind a corner and eavesdropped on the conversation out of curiosity. One of them mentioned that during his cleaning duties the day after the Duc's death in the dining room, she had to clean some very suspicious stains in a few corners of the room that she could only think was dried out blood. How could this be? The statement and ruling for the cause of death was that of old age. I really hope that that gossip ends up being untrue. The dining room was off limits and guarded by the King's guard themselves, there was no-one to intrude and just make stains out of the blue. What do they think happened? Some assassin just managed to intrude into the château by himself? I've heard the Maquis kill members of royalty, but never have I heard that they would be active here. No, this is probably just gossip in the end. It makes no sense.

Speaking of terrorist groups, the news recently mentioned of a Council plot to terrorize Languedoc and Quillan. Given that some assets of the château were being unused and collecting dust, I sent a "Taureau" armoured transport in my name to assist in thwarting the terrorists. The commander apparently stopped quite a lot of the terrorist smugglers and I've asked the Roi to make quick work of these villains. The Court is already expecting them to arrive, but I personally think the Sirians should just be put on the execution list immediately instead of going through the formalities. They don't deserve it.

I think I will be making a more active appearance in the Kingdom, at least in space.
