I think Mr SpazzyDragon has been a little harsh with the "snips".
I was shooting everything in order to get the Coalition to be nice to me. Seeing as it says under there lits of enemies on the wiki and in the game "Everyone", I don't think it's unfair to assume that's that how one would go about it.
I agree with "BULLDOGNK's Adjudicator" pretty much entirely, But hey, I don't have as many posts as the next guy, I haven't been here as long, therefore I know nothing and don't have a "Dual didget IQ". Don't worry I understand this, trust or acceptance are hard to come by.
Also through reading this thread I noticed how quickly some of you are to judge IQ, somehow many of you posses a skill that allows you to tell such a thing from mere writing. Psychologists study for years and get payed huge amounts for doing that. You lot should go into business, seriously.
Now I'm going to leave this thread and hopefully not return, or else someone might reply to me and then I would be obliged to reply to them, and that would be difficult with my single didget IQ.

And i wouldn't beleive "BULLDOGNK's Adjudicator", I dont think he has any idea what he is talking about. And if he starts yelling and screaming by all means let him.
Factions like the SCRA, Keepers, Wild, and Phantoms are not ruining Discovery.
They arent nessissarily saving it either, but certainly not destroying it. They are there, and it has been decided they arent easy to get into. Try finding some of them in game and have a conversation with them, that may help. Or Learn more about them and talk to their faction Leader. No promises any of these will work, but no saying it wont either.

Basicly only thing which makes pirate ID diffrent from Terrorist ID is that pirate ID must piss off the target before he can pew pew it down. And as long I cover it even with minimal rp, it's open for abuse, despite the fact that line of "Can engage" is gone. Who cares, I can ask for ammo, money, slaping his wife (rp demands counts too, remember?) and close for a kill then he refuses. And believe me 95 percent of them refuse.
Now why such factions are restricted, not more about the abuse, but becouse they care about their name. Besides, if they would let everyone in who would just pew pew around admins would have to take their officialdom taken away.

HM an idea. Basicly grab Pirate ID. And play commie scum. Right some rp stuff about him. If you are good, apply with the stuff you've done to SCRA. Maybe that would help.
Or jump to RHA. It's always been a recruitment step to SCRA after proving yourself there.
There are loads of people encouraging others to do all kinds of things. Hell I've been encouraging people to do some things my way since I'm here. To this day there's not a lot of people I can say I "helped" or "raised up" here, but I'm pretty sure that if you saw Curios when I met him, and Curios that you'd know he's far from encouraging people to make mess.

Invite only factions are not ruining disco. They are RPers heaven. After writing a book like stories about space shooting game and writing lot of helpful posts in OOC forums. You can join in and pwn everything in superb stuff.
Cam/Bulldogswhatever... common man. We used to think along the same lines, now you are sounding nutty over there. Turn it down a few notches and people will listen a bit better. You are not going to convince any Q_Qers so just keep the tone down and the normal players will listen to your arguments instead of just passing you off like a rabid monkey in a wire cage.
Bob, despite all of the conspiracy stuff flying around about some of the invite factions around here, they are not nearly as bad as it seems. Talk to people, get to know them and you will make some headway. I have flown with the SCRA and a bunch of their members in different areas and they are great guys/girls.
I give you kudos for asking a clear good way instead of flying off of the handle like others. There is a rule here on disco: make sure those you are playing with and against are having as much fun as yourself. You follow that and you will go far in this community. including getting into the more selective factions.
I am a total "capwhore" and I am not hated by everyone because I play with that one rule in mind. It gets you pretty far. Ohh yeah, ignore the Q_Qers. They are like the sniveling little girlfriends to the common forum troll. They will call you a lolwut, stupid, and an idiot for anything that comes across their slobber and tear coated screen.

Posts concerning efficient discussions about "closed" factions that are player created with custom ID's that the Leaders and creators control and where you want the faction opened to the public is stupid, ridiculous and completely annoying.
Open a Q.Q thread if you want to discuss closed Factions (closed as in its the creators that have control of the ID), yes that means you Cam and the rest that argued with him.
