A committee would be nice to work on Gallia's side, given that not even Friday and afraid none of the volunteers here have much idea about the ever-hated house with an actually amazing lore. Mean it in a way that a -single- person is just too much to compile about Igiss' child now left alone.
We're back to saying: "soon" again? Last time we did that it still took a year to get the final version out. And doing the storyline before doing actual changes? THANK MOHJON! FINALY!
Anyway goodluck devish developers, if you need my opinion or humble knowledge of lore. you know where to find me.
There used to be pictures here

For 4.88, however, there is plenty of time, and paraphrasing Cannon's own words, "Next version, we'll write the story first."
But there must be someone or a group who is doing the story for 487. At least I pray there is. Really not looking for an appointment, just looking to run an idea past the person or people working on it. Any idea who to be in touch with would be appreciated.

A Samura backed Kogen army would outproduce a Kishiro led Kusari in warships, it would be an epic civil war. (bandit)
All fine and dandy. However, by reading this, i have the feeling you picture current KNF lead as being closely tied with Kishiro, just like the Empire era KNF used to be Samura private army.
This is kinda discarding the work we have made since 4.87. For the record, here is a text i wrote about KNF history in February tl&dr : last paragraph :
Imperial Era
321 After Settlement. While New Tokyo inhabitants were enjoying the night during the Sakura festival, a tragedy was about to unfold.
Mercenaries and soldiers were silently surrounding the Imperial palace, waiting for an order that would change Kusari for the worst.
The occupants were taken by surprise. The Shogun himself soon committed Seppuku. Yet, the glorious Imperial Guard couldn’t allow such an infamy to go unpunished. Fiercely lead by Kozue Okamura, they fought back the traitors of their lords and skilfully escaped the Imperial blockade.
Soon, they headed to the Galactic north, sharing a common will for revenge.
The now Samura backed Emperor had to face unrest and hostility, thus forcing him to reform Kusari military. Kusari Naval Forces were born.
That navy was loyal to the new imperial family, and therefore became the sworn enemies of the recently consecrated Blood Dragons.
While the line of conduct of the warrior caste didn’t change much between the reign of the two dynasties, Kusari Naval Forces depended exclusively on the Samura Keiretsu, which lead them to be used as a tool to protect the giant’s interests, just like the Hogosha.
The Emperor’s words were the undisputed truth. The Kaigun didn’t contest the decision to invade the house of Bretonia, nor did they rise against the decision to begin a conflict with the Gas Miner Guild.
Fall of the Empire and creation of the Republic of Kusari
Among the admiralty, a few officers were beginning to have reservations about the decisions made during the last years. One of them especially, the Admiral Takahashi, wasn’t seeing how the line taken was a benefit to Kusari as a whole.
More and more resources were engaged in a seemingly unending conflict in Seto. Meanwhile, the Emperor took the decision to open another front-line in Sigmas. Kusari core space was slowly deprived of the military resources needed to ensure the house’s protection, making the situation perilous.
After having consulted a few trusted subordinates, she took the decision not to follow the order given to send the remaining forces Kusari had at its disposal to Seto system, concerned about the future of Kusari as more and more reports were mentioning the gathering of powerful armadas in the Taus.
As things were escalating between the Gauls and the Taus forces, members of the Naval Forces decided to betray the Emperor Jien Kogen, busy overseeing the invasion of the planet Leeds himself at that time.
Taking advantage of his absence, they participated in a coup that lead to the creation of a Republic in Kusari, which soon sued for peace with Gallia in order to avoid the invasion of the outmatched house.
Republic of Kusari era
The Kusari Naval Forces, following the creation of the Republic, were in an severely weakened state, that allowed pirates and criminals to operate broadly in Kusari. Groups such as the Farmers Alliance, backed up by Samura, were also branded as Criminals by the emerging Republic, leading to unrest in Kyushu system.
While the Empire era Naval Forces had a close relation with Samura Keiretsu, the Republic era Naval Forces attempted to keep a multilateral relationship with the chief bodies of the two Keiretsus , thus releasing themselves from the influence and the political manoeuvres they used to suffer.
The house of Kusari warrior caste is slowly rising again in strength, freed from the leash that was restraining them in the past, and ready to battle for Kusari people welfare.
Would that be possible for KNF lead to have a say regarding the lore written about Kusari, pretty please?
before the ID card people had to get to work - we ( all active full devs ) had went through the storyboard and adjusted and modified the areas we felt familiar with, - pointing out progression or stagnation or change.

Actually we did this during this development cycle! Anyway the big problem this time around was that we went through 2 storyline coordinators during development, and now the position is pretty much vacant again. It's actually a good thing that we managed to nail most of the storyline before Friday left, then managed to sort out most of the rest for the limited stay that Jammi enjoyed (he's technically still in position, just gone). A few things will likely be left hanging because there's no continued oversight, but it's still quite a bit better than 4.86 IMO.
Anyway hold on to your ideas for next dev cycle, we'll probably need to get a new storyline coordinator for that and it's better if he/she gets the ideas straight from the horse's mouth.
Also regarding committees in regards to the storyline: we had something like that during 4.85 development. Sadly the "committee members" were all and without question pursuing their own personal factional agendas, which made any kind of discussion just... ridiculous. It truly is better if one person is in charge of compiling the ideas in this case.
@ Yao, Yeah sorry, I'm outdated by what's been happening by approx a full year. The finer details of such a civil war I'd leave to the factions involved to update whomever writes stuff. I'm not even sure where GMG| is sitting at the moment aside from stats I see with admin tools. But I'd like to tear em out of their golden age and force them back on the chess board.
@ Michael, XD We both know too much Kusari history to ignore a setting that screams for it.
Honestly Kusari needs to burn.
If the Kusari is burning and if it cuts literally most of the trading connections between itself and the other Houses in desperate effort to win the Civil war it could create 2 nice activity hubs. Add 3 more and you would have full server.
Both Liberty to Kusari Systems Kepler and Bering could be overhauled to reflect it.
Same approach might be applied in Taos.
Now serious question is there a slight chance to change your development cycle timing and make smaller but more frequent updates?

Seeing as my main TAZ trade route runs straight through Kusari, having to dodge and avoid battles would be cool. and interesting to watch.
A massive Kusari civil war where, as Govedo put it, Kusari burns would be a nice evolution of the story and a good activity point. especially with the Liberty-Rheinland war diminishing in .87
i think there would even be a bit of scope for other factions to get caught up in it, either directly or indirectly.
