There is nothing wrong with the system, we need story progression not layout changes cuz you are to lazy to fly around a sun.
Except the system has nothing going for it. It's a passage system with no actual value for gameplay.
I don't really care about the sun, the whole system is uninteresting and poorly laid out

Fair point, but im making the argument that we dont need our devs focusing on re-working this system and this topic was brought up because one person cant be bothered to fly around a sun.

Well, actually bad system design one of main problem of current Disco. Situation change slowly, but it wouldnt wrong to collect all issues with badly designed systems and think out how change their layout to make playable. There could be heroes who will do this changes and submit.
Thing is, its just unnecessary obstactle, and not enrich gameplay anyhow, only add dull transition time. That literally cancer of many system, because somebody think that about good design it seems. I probably should tell the truth - its not. Its only pissing and kill any will to play inside systems based on that "bright" ideas.
In second example afk trader will be caught by planet "danger-zone" by autopilot, while non afk pilot will able to make single correction and fly straight. When you just put planet or even worse, sun right on way, its make nothing but add time to dull system crossing. Is it so needed?

The topic of a rework in Kappa has been brought up a dozen times stop being stupid lmao saying "devs should be focusing on this rather than that" wont make them automatically focus like you imagine, it's just a pointless and realy defensive response from your side how about you focus on responding to factions you actually play? You're just being hostile and probably one of those guys that would easily dump the AI faction just because personaly you don't think it needs attention.

Indeed as I pointed out on my 2nd response, the old system was alot better in terms of that it caused also fear for traders etc. passing through 2x Planets owned by an alien entity not to mention the Tunnel background fitted with that theme.
