Corsairs must treat nobles and superiors with utmost respect, preserving their image, dignity, and honor. Disrespect is a serious crime and is sanction-able. - This reads poorly. I would suggest making it more flavourful and obvious enough that this is an in roleplay thing, as the same terminology is used for server rule breaks. Don't want any silly misconceptions, they'll happen, we've the kind of community for it.
When contending with a monster, you'd be wise to give the devil his due.
Agreed, you have to remember that you cannot pirate your own ID, not really unless in extreme circumstances, and that's all the lines you have - they really are not sanctionable

you've got to be kidding. current laws:
Look terrible
Have unenforceable laws
Are extremely outdated or wrong
Too long and dense
Have filler, obvious or unnecessary laws
second question: we're not the only corsair faction, true. but we're the only active corsair faction that is actually putting out roleplay, server activity, and effort. oh look, you haven't updated your laws since what, 2015? I remade it from scratch in two afternoons. Maybe if your faction kept our laws styled, lore accurate, maintained, concise and simple, they wouldn't need to be touched.
As much as I lament agreeing on something with a DTR member - this is some solid points above. However, there is a concern that this reword will be taken advantage of by the faction that has done the rework to enforce their unquestioned monopoly over a certain commodity the faction has thrown a fit over at least once - not only among the competing factions but even among their own as this precedent here demonstrates in colors.
I promise you that, with high probability, that it won't stand and people will run all sorts of underhanded tactics and quirks to get what they wish. Eventually, it might boil down to simply ignoring these attempts.
I will believe that DTR will not go overboard with this imaginary authority when I see it. Until then, I will remain skeptical.

I acknowledge your concerns. what I wanted to promote on the economic section of the laws is healthy competition between the corsairs for relics. I took great care with the words to make sure they show the readers that undercutting or simply ignoring the corsair economy for personal gain (as a corsair) isn't the right thing to do. Any corsair can mine xeno relics and I directly incentivize corsairs in game to distribute them and mine them, given that their trade isn't detrimental to any other corsair parties.
we've had multiple players (POB owners + their friends/suppliers) powergaming their way to supply their pobs for free using corsair characters, completely bypassing the entirety of our economy and lore. It isn't right. We have several stations to supply and it costs money. Relics are a huge portion of the corsair economy and players, bypassing this harms all corsairs. I believe you'll agree with me.

I respect that to some extent, corsairs maintaining a monopoly on xeno relics is a solid point inrp, but don't you think you go a little bit far on the whole playerlisting xeno relic miners thing if people feel like they have to powergame to get around it in the first place?
