Created in a remote facility in the [[Shikoku]] system under the codename 'Project Warflower', the "Iris" is the [[Golden Chrysanthemums]]' answer to the superior fighters of the [[Kusari Naval Forces]]. By studying salvaged technology from the wrecks of naval fighters, the Golden Chrysanthemums managed to combine the armored structure of the [[Orchid]] with the agility of the [[Blossom]]. The result was the creation of a new [[fighter]] capable of matching the [[Wyvern]] in combat, whilst being easily manufactured using the technology available to them. The first successful prototype was completed in 826 A.S. and lived up to it's promise in it's first combat deployment. Almost immediately afterwards, the "Iris" was set for mass production, becoming readily available to all Golden Chrysanthemum operatives, in every corner of [[Kusari]].
