Being a terran Japanese citizen before the launch of the Kusari, Nodoka's ideology of social liberation, whilst retaining the political conservatism and vying to purge the keiretsu of Kishiro Technologies and Samura Heavy Industries from the political sphere, resonated with the disenfranchised, whilst promoting a semi-open economy, as opposed to the concept of a closed economy as brought forth by the Blood Dragons.
