Mamers is a huge, cold world fully cavered with water, ice, and a significant presence af methane compounds. Astronomers presume that it has a huge core consisting of rock and carbonaceous materials. The planet was never considered for colonization or mining. It is much heavier than a world humans would typically settle, with gravity that men and machinery are not suited to.
