The Order Intelligence Division, officially codenamed the Wedjat and colloquially referred to by those within it as “the eyes”, was formed soon after The Order came into existence itself, in a smaller, less organized incarnation called the Udjat. The Udjat was created by one of the founding members of The Order itself, Xander Aaron Ainsley Augustus Jacen Bastian Eadbhard Alexander Qayshon Dabney von Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorf, around 800 AS. The Udjat was reformed into the Wedjat in 814 A.S., by Admiral X and Admiral Mirage Bre'Delakorsa.

Formed to safeguard humanity by gathering immense amounts of intelligence on every faction and event within the Sirius sector, it has done just that. It's massive growth can be compared to the growth of The Order itself; having assets in every corner of Sirius, and continually acquiring more.

The operatives it employs are loyal to the core. Adaptable, impenetrable and omniscient, they operate on a higher plane than any others in the same business do. Service within the Wedjat means seeing the bigger picture, realizing that every action taken affects humanity as a whole and being able to do whatever it takes, regardless of the sacrifice needed.

History

Whilst The Order played a key role in the defeat of the first alien threat, word had spread out around Sirius about the secret organization faster than anticipated. Inaccurate information skewed for propaganda purposes spewed outwards about The Order's activities and goals.

Information leaks were unavoidable; there were many variables and many sources, making it difficult for a militarized organization, even one as idealistic as The Order to monitor and more importantly, control. The Order decided it was too soon for humanity to unravel all the secrets they kept private and for that reason the gears slowly ground to form the Udjat, and eventually the more successful Wedjat.

As the personal child of two eccentric and individual Admirals, one would expect the Wedjat to be rather unusual. Needless to say, it is, but it is just as effective. The Wedjat was formed out of two divisions merging, the Udjat, a division known for it's reconnaissance and asset making and maintaining ability, and the AID; an organisation responsible for the assassination of the infected in high-level positions of power and the interrogation of captured enemies.

History of the AID

The AID's history is rather extensive and well-documented, having been much more overt than the Udjat. It was created in 807 A.S. and the priorities and tasks of the small division were simple; to locate and destroy all information and technology leaks, concerning The Order.

Originally, methods were soft and had little to no effect. Those in-charge were struck by the sheer magnitude of information leaks around the entire sector. Information had become a valuable commodity and various hostile organizations were willing to pay in order to attain it. The Order and everything concerned with it was of special interest to bidders all around Sirius.

As such, more efficient methods were required, such that needed fewer amounts of resources and one that would strike fear into the hearts and minds of potential information traders. For the reasons presented in front of them, those tasked with making the decision replaced the original creator of the AID with his second-in-charge, Admiral Mirage Bre’Delakorsa.

With a new leader in place, drastic changes happened in the core structure of the AID. Many of it's pioneering members were discarded and the entire organization was shut down temporarily. Under the watchful eye of the Admiral, new recruits were chosen. Upon retrospective analysis the majority of people chosen were those whose records showed extreme violence and determination in previous operations.

Training saw them tuned into ruthless and efficient killing machines, trained to work in small squads, or standalone, deep behind enemy lines. New methods were also implemented, replacing the older, less efficient ones. The sanctioning of the use of deadly force was the largest, and most controversial change of all.

In 808 A.S., the new AID was fully operational. It's purpose was once again simple and clear; tje elimination of all information concerned with the Order and its activities. Results were not far behind, for in no more then a few short months a significant percentage of all information traffic had seized, with all people behind it either eliminated or captured, with no trace pointing to The Order.

The Wedjat operates on a basic structure with a few levels. When it was the Udjat it used to operate on a tiered pyramid structure, but a newer efficient cellular structure was designed to protect The Order from infiltration.

The rank system operates in two main parts; operatives in the field, and operatives at home. Both of these parts are equally important, and must integrate and co-operate efficiently to ensure the well-being of the division as a whole.

These two parts then split into their own cellular structures. Each part reports to one of the Spymasters.

Any operative can report directly to the Spymaster. This is to ensure that if a superior officer is ever compromised, they can be removed from the equation without the severing of those underneath them. However, this is rare, even though there are cases where it has happened in the past.
