− | '''Alice Marie''' is the second in command of the Gallic Royal Navy primary fleet, and the most brilliant warship commander and tactician in the Gallic Royal Navy.

− | == Origins ==
| |
− | Alice Roxanne Marie was born into an extremely wealthy family and life on Ill-De-France. Her mother, Roxanne Marie, was ranking official with the Gallic Metal Service. Her father, Frank Marie, was an officer in the Gallic Royal Navy who was deployed in Champagne for the containment of the Uprising on Planet Marne. Alice was cared for as a baby by her mother, but as she reached the age of 5 she was only seeing her mother on occasion. Her father's visits were even more rare, leaving their housekeeper Renee Francis to look after and practically raise Alice. Alice was sent off to school at a private and rich academy, even without much parenting beyond being taught her basic "dos and donts" Alice managed to fit in decently in school during her first two years. In fact, Alice was quick to develop social skills, and made herself the "boss" of the friend group. Alice never flushed her friends into rule breaking, she was bossy, popular and was quick to intimidate anyone that challenged her, but she was too much of a goody-two-shoes to break the rules. What most kids described as "hell" going to the academy Alice described as "fun". At home however, Alice had no fun at all, her housekeeper was kind to an extent but her parent's discipline was more hateful than loving. Alice was slapped around, constantly screamed at, locked away, and humiliated by her mother. Her father was imposing as well, but not nearly to the same extent her mother took things. As she grew older her bitter distaste for her mother grew, while she began to admire her father a bit more and understand the drastic situation in Champagne. Frank Marie's visits became more and more frequent as Alice grew older, he felt a sense of guilt for not being present when Alice was younger. During his visits home Frank spent all his time with Alice and little with Roxanne, Frank taught Alice how to shoot, which would become a unique talent for Alice when she decided to enlist in the Royal Navy. Despite her life at home being awkward in a sense, Alice found more comfort in her life outside of home. During her mid to late teenage years at the Academy she spent her time exercising, partying, and being one of the brightest in her class. Being the in her position she felt like a Queen, and she would continue to cling to that feeling after she joined the Royal Navy.

− | Alice graduated from the Academy third in her class in 730 A.G.S. at the age of 20, both her parents and her housekeeper expressed their gratitude towards Alice. Still, Alice's bitter attitude towards her mother for all the years of what were -to Alice- abuse, lingered in the back of her head. After leaving the Academy most of her friends moved on, as did Alice, as much as it was fun, some dramatic events at the Academy made her happy she was finished. Alice took in the enjoyment of more freedom to do whatever she wanted for the next few years, still uncertain of what she -would- do. Alice enjoyed almost a year of freedom, exercise, and relaxation before deciding what she wanted to pursue as a career.

| |
− | Alice had herd stories from her father as a Child about the war in Champagne, the struggle to maintain Languedoc, and several other random encounters in his time with the Royal Navy. Still, Alice didn't know if she was the type of person made for combat behind a Lynx, or on the ground as a Marine. Overtime she thought more and more about applying to start as an Officer, until finally she decided to do so with a little motivation from her father. Before leaving for the Academy on Ill-De-France to begin as an officer, Alice finally made peace with her mother, who came to her in tears the night she discovered Alice wanted to join. Alice still frowned upon some events in the past, but knowing Roxanne was still her mother, she decided to let go. The Academy taught Alice that she was certainly not adequate behind a Lynx or any fighter for that matter, her hand to hand skills were average, and her marksman skills stood out the most in the first 3 months at the Academy and in training. However, Officers were required to pass a commanding simulation, weather it be behind a lighter warships or a larger one. Alice showed extraordinary talents as a commander, bossing around people in combat came as naturally as bossing people around in school. Alice's talents were noticed by the director at the Academy, however, giving a young woman control over a real warship with nothing more than simulation training wasn't ideal at all. Alice like most of the officers still needed to earn her place as a Commander even in the secondary fleet. Alice like most of her classmates were shipped off to Languedoc near Planet Quillan, in mid 731 A.G.S. Alice was made first officer of the RNS-Hellequin, a Perilous class vessel overseeing troop shipments to the Planet's surface. During the lengthy battle some key Military personnel were captured, naturally the job seemed simple for the Army, given they were far more sophisticated in training and larger in quantity. However, Alice's commanding officer was quite ambitious and with permission from his superiors given the gravity of the situation, involved himself personally. Being his first officer Alice was dragged along with him as well as two other guards stationed aboard the ship. After spending days fighting discreetly on the surface the two managed to locate the captured officers, after alerting the Army of their location the group was tasked with assisting in the offensive by any means possible. The Gallic Army made a push the next morning, Alice's small group also managed to fight their way in past the numerous untrained Council soldiers, however, Alice's commanding officer was killed in the process and Alice inherited his position as commander of the RNS-Hellequin.

− | == The Second Gallic War into the Tau War ==
| |
− | As the battle for Languedoc remained in a bitter stalemate, Alice seized several opportunities to stand out from the crowd. She conducted several rescue operations outside of Quillan and assisted in the defense of Nimes Station. After two years of bitter fighting for control of the system the Council's efforts began to let up. With their failure to completely capture Planet Quillan and the failure of Gap station, the Council was preparing for its final attack on Montpellier Guard station in Languedoc in a desperate attempt to take refuge in Sirius. Alice was called to the defense of Montpellier Guard Station, and was one of the few that survived the brutal Council attack on the Guard Station that resulted in hundreds of casualties on both sides. With the discovery of Kusari Empire's war with the Kingdom of Bretonia during the pursuit of Council forces into the Tau region, the Royal Navy began looking for more and more assets, old and new, to lead the expansion effort. Alice was one of the individuals that had made her mark in Languedoc, and was reluctantly given command of a Valor class warship, the RNS-Royal Vauquelin, in late 734 A.G.S. Alice began to further make her mark during the capture of Tau-44 from the Colonial Remnant, Alice took part in what was described as "an easy victory", slaughtering Remnant pilots, destroyers, and civilian transports trying to flee the system. Two years of committing genocide began to take a toll on Alice's conscience, however, her egoistical drive to be known as "the best" overruled her conscience. Alice spent another two years in the tau regions before she was given some short R&R, Alice visited her parents, who were now both retired, and took the time to relax. During her month long R&R, Alice made a few "acquaintances", giving her a strange social reputation, and developed a strong lust for wine, surprisingly the lust never turned into an addiction. Alice returned to find the Royal Vauquelin in Leeds where it was assisting in the effort to capture Planet Leeds from the Bretonian Armed Forces completely. Alice took part in overseeing some bombardments and even deploying ground forces from the Royal Vauquelin.

− | ==From Les Bohemes into the Primary Fleet==
| |
− | After months of fighting on the frontline several capable capital ship commanders formed under a sub-division known as the Les Bohemes, which didn't prove to be much of a success in the end. However, anything to further Alice's reputation was suitable, and that meant joining the Les Bohemes. Like most other warship commanders, Alice was called for the defense of the Battleship Oblique during the Liberty Navy's offensive in late 738 A.G.S. the Oblique was destroyed, however the Navy failed to get much further than destroying the warship. The Naval forces were pushed back far in Magellan, and the Carcassone advanced into the Magellan system with the cover of the Barrier Nebula. After the advance into Magellan, Alice began to make a larger name for herself, leading dozens of successful offensives in the Magellan system alongside figures from the primary fleet. Her skills became known to Bretonian Armed Forces and Gallic Royal Navy alike. Alice finally earned a place in the primary fleet after her efforts at the siege of San Diego Border station in California, and with its destruction, she was given a place in the primary fleet as a General.

− | ==Earning the title of Marechale==
| |
− | Alice did not disappoint when joining the Primary fleet, Alice and General Charles Roche headed the Magellan front, and indulged themselves in dozens of victories. Even while General Roche was absent, Alice didn't fail to impress, and her egotistical attitude grew in accordance with her dozens of victories. After almost a year of heading the front alone with the upper ranks of the Royal Navy in a delicate state, Alice became a favorite of [[Lucie LeBlanc]], the Grand Marechale of the Royal Navy. Lucie's interest in Alice's abilities became clear when Alice was summoned to Kyushu to assist in the containment effort against a nomad threat that had appeared suddenly in the system. While offering aid the Kusari Naval Forces turned against the Royal Navy's forces and a violent series of battles erupted against not only the Nomads but the KNF. Thanks to Marie, and several others, the Kusari and nomad threats were terminated. After demonstrating her resolve and showing her ability to operate under a moment's notice, Alice was given the title of Marechale, and given the special assignment of spearheading the effort to rescue Charlotte De France, the princess of Gallia. A mission that still has not been conducted, leaving Alice in a slightly paranoid position, should she fail she'd be executed, should she succeed she'd be remembered as a hero.

| |
− | Alice is very open about her feelings, she has a very optimistic, snarky, and flirting attitude, and is described as more of a flirt during non-combat hours than a military officer. Despite her attitude when all is calm, in the face of actual combat Alice is extremely imposing on her crewmates, demanding things be done on the dime, and often taking the helm herself to control the Royal Vauquelin. Even with her spontaneous attitude, Alice makes it quite clear how much she cares for and loves her crewmates. Her first officer, Bernard Francis, is her closest friend, and she knows every other ranking officer aboard her ship officially and personally as a friend. Alice has become a bit distant with her family, but loves them no less, knowing she might never see them again given the workload and challenges that stand in front of her with such an honorable position, Alice takes ever chance to speak with her family that she can, and has continued healing her relationship with her mother.
| |
− |
| |
− | Alice's relationships haven't lasted longer than one night, given the dangers of her job and its responsibilities Alice has never seriously considered falling in love, or starting a family. However, she intends to try following the outcome of the attempt to rescue Charlotte De France. Despite having committed atrocities in the name of the Crown, Alice's loyalty to the Crown and the Royal Navy has never faded, believing the Council are nothing more than traitors and Sirian sympathizers, Alice is quite determined to kill and maintain her position despite whatever her conscience throws at her. Even so, like any human being, she still experiences minor amounts of PTSD from Planet Leeds and Planet Quillan, both obstacles that are slowly fading away.
| |
− |
| |
− | Alice's skills as a warship commander and tactician remain unparalleled, despite previously being a terrible fighter pilot, Alice has improved. Alice spends her spare time either socializing with her crewmates or down at the shooting range aboard the ship keeping up her skills as a marksman.
