Though the Outcasts were rarely inclined to admit flaws, it was undeniable that battles with Gallic forces revealed a gap in their fleets. Though the Ranseur and Sarissa had long provided the devastating firepower required of a battleship, Storta-led patrol groups often found themselves undergunned against Gallic armor.

Marrying the agile frame of the Storta to the heavy plating and firepower of the Sarissa, the Hasta was designed without compromise to face an enemy bent on total conquest.
