In present days of Sirius Sector, every fighter, freighter or bomber ship have the ability to use shields agains foreign attacks. In Sirius space, there are three types of shields used widely, each producing a field more effective against a particular type of weapons whilst being less effective against another type.

Positron
Positron shields generate an atomical field made of positrons, which are quickly atomizing the foreign bolt before it's damaging the hull.Because of its principle of working, positron shields are less effective against bolts containing photonic elements.

More effective against: Tachyon, Neutron weapons

Less effective against: Laser, Photon, Pulse weapons

Graviton
Graviton shields generate a strong, vibrating anti-gravital fields which are defecting the foreign bolts attacing the hull. Because of the principle of working, graviton shields are less effective against "heavy" bolts like plasma.

More effective against: Photon, Laser, Pulse weapons

Less effective against: Plasma, Particle weapons

Molecular
Molecular shields are based on special chemicals which are changing the properties and neutralizing the attacking bolts. Because of its principle of working, molecular shields are less effective against chemically neutral bolts like Neutron.

More effective against: Plasma,Particle weapons

Less effective against: Tachyon,Neutron weapons
