The newest Red Hessian cruiser available to date is a product of many generations of improvement upon the original blueprint. Despite the remaining semblance to the first design, this ship is heavily armoured and armed, and easily able to overpower most opponents. Its industrial grade power array provides an abundance of energy for its weapon hardpoints, and gives meaning to the project's codename: Vidar, the god of vengeance.
Captains of this class of cruiser are known to be highly celebrated and revered among the ranks of the Hessians. The ships of this design are a relatively rare sight, even inside Hessian-controlled space.
