I didnt find any spelling mistake in "independant". Yet i like the idea of the head lines, but we need to think about: How is the hierarchy going to be, because most of the Border Worlds are controlled either by an Outcast faction (like BLS,RoS,101st) or by Corsirs, Nomads, etc. I also thought on somthing like: Lawful/Unlawful/Neutrals, and putting the systems inside them e.g

Player Factions(Link) --------> Unlawful(Link) -------------> Liberty Space (Header only, with a small description) -------> Liberty Rogues (Link)

tell me what do you think about this to see how can we make it work correctly.

I think it should be spelled 'independent' (note that there is no 'a' in the word). The online dictionary I normally use (www.dict.cc) doesn't know 'independant' neither, but it does know 'independent'. Yet, I'm no native english speaker so you could know better.
