Introduction

The Lost Company is an unlawful mercenary organization centered on escorting smugglers and blasting certain law enforcers. Alan Polstari has earned a permanent place of special targeting for the disease they made for him.

Dramatis Personae

"Halite"

"Halite" is the acknowledged leader of the Lost Company, or at least the public face of it. His mastery at combat has earned him many trophies, and even a few female admirers. But for every trophy and fangirl he acquires, he gains several enemies sworn to bring him to justice. And he wouldn't have it any other way. Notable for taking sadistic glee in hunting down Zoners, Junkers, and other neutral parties, in his own words, just because. Flies a Plier, Rhino, and a stolen Fafnir into battle.

"Marauder"

"Marauder" is the quiet but domineering one. Believed to be Teresa Brooks by certain parties, (s)he is rarely seen in public, but when (s)he is, (s)he is surprisingly merciful towards defeated adversaries. Flies a Falchion into battle.

"Dick Dagger"

"Dick Dagger" flies the Dilemma, a Serenity carrying goods of an unlawful nature. To date, they have never been caught.

Goals

The Lost Company has no discernible goals beyond "wreak violence upon all they find". However, after their brief break in mid-825 AS, in which they were negotiating with their associates, they appear to have gained some objectives.

Expand their reach

The Lost Company is seeking to expand beyond their Carrier-based operations.

Seek more challenging adversaries

Bored with their fare of Zoners and Liberty Navy, Lost Company seeks to find more things to fight.

Diplomacy

The Lost Company maintains no public ties with anyone, however the individual pilots will tend to single out certain targets, or possibly consistently show mercy to others.

Known Bases

The Lost Company does not maintain any bases of its own. They instead appear to use the facilities of a mysterious sponsor, who can only be assumed to exist considering their access to advanced military hardware and a general state of being well-supplied.

SHROUD System

The SHROUD Device is the Lost Company's unique combat escape mechanism. Operating as a "distressed cloak", it automatically activates upon critical hull damage or at will by the pilot, with an automated push-off and detonation of light plastic explosives to simulate the ship being destroyed. However, it needs several man-hours of installation work to operate again.

Connections

The Lost Company is believed to have several ties deep within the governments of all Houses, rendering them immune to prosecution for their excesses. This belief stems from them bragging about it, careful not to name any names.

The Dark Board

Having successfully exiled the former Administrator of Freeport 11 out of the Omicrons, Lost Company started shaking their associates up and down for entertainment. The end result was the beginning of a project to bring all lawbreakers in Sirius to work together for one common goal: To get away with it successfully.
