Rank Captain, Zoner Defence Force
Born April 16th, 790 A.S. (Age 28)

Kashiwaba Tomoe's ancestory is that of house Kusari. Her ancestors were members of the GMG that found the Zoner life appealing, and left the guild to join it's allies.

Her parents signed onboard the exploration cruiser Hinaichago in 788 A.S. for it's second deep space exploration run, putting their experience with the GMG to use in analyzing nebulae during the long voyage.

They died during that mission along with some of the crew, details have not been logged and the crew and captain do not seem eager to discuss what happened.

A good portion of the Zoners on Freeport Seven that Tomoe was raised among believed in better life thru genetics, and limited genetic engineering was done on most of the communities children, the primary noticeable change being that the recipients of this have a significantly delayed aging process, aging at roughly half of their chronological age. Due to this Tomoe appears to be a teenager, despite being nearly thirty.

800-817 A.S.

At age ten, Tomoe got her first encounter with politics. Some of the houses, hearing of the Zoners plans to send the Hinaichigo off from Freeport Seven on an extended duration exploration mission, begain to attempt to exert pressure on the Zoners to cancel the mission. That attempt is now belived to have been due to the early stages of nomad infestation that resulted in the nomad war.

When the Liberty Navy sent out a wing of fighters on a 'goodwill tour' the crew of the Hinaichigo decided to leave prior to the scheduled launch time, and the ceremony with Zoner leaders and several IMG reps that would have been present.

The Navy fighter wing that was present, once they realized that their quarry had slipped away, was told to return 'as convenient', and ended up staying at the station several more days, sending a few fighters at a time to escort traders heading to Liberty. Most of the wing was destroyed along with Freeport Seven, resulting in at least part of the reason why the survivors of the disaster were sent to Liberty.
