'and any kind of vessels are forced to use standard FTL drives in order to pass through the system.' Forgive me for being a bit of a diehard when it comes to these things, but the only FTL travel available (bar any new technology developed post-discovery and pre-this alt universe) are Jumpgates (and equivalent ship-based systems) and Tradelanes. Cruise engines (which is what I presume you speak of here) are nowhere close to superliminal speeds. Probably not the best place to discuss this sort of thing, but it was something that stood out while reading. Running Ageira for over six months, I'm a little...
