Born 795 A.S., Planet Manhattan

(Age 23)

Ibrahim al-Rashid was born on Planet Manhattan in 795 A.S. to immigrant parents, who were from an uncharted system called Mashriq. His parents mysteriously died in space when he was 7, and Ibrahim was taken in by his parents' good friend Seung Rhee Nam. He was raised in the ghettos of Manhattan, and led a relatively normal life working as an assistant in Seung's engine shop. While he was not terribly poor, Ibrahim dreamed of a life where he could live in comfort and prosperity. As a young man, he often witnessed the Police threatening and harrassing his friends, as well as his only family, Seung. This, as well as a rumour that his parents were actually murdered by the Navy, led to Ibrahim's distrust for federal authority. When he was 22, however, he signed up for the Navy out of necessity, wanting better financial support for himself and Seung. During his first mission, he came across a crucial and life changing decision when his Captain(Hayden Solonski) asked him to kill a surrendering Rogue smuggler, along with her children who were also on board. Ibrahim refused to obey his orders, and instead opened fire on his own wing, buying precious time for the Smuggler to escape. He followed her into the nearby debris field, losing their pursuers, and proceeded to dock at Rochester base, where he met his future comrades. This was the start of Ibrahim's new life, and his new struggle.

Information

Rashid(as he is commonly called), is now a Liberty Rogue, who can be sighted in space flying his trusty Werewolf, the Remain Silent, or his Hyena, the Crippled Acrobat. He is easily distuingished from the general crowd by his tan skin, handsome features, and a neatly tied headwrap he usually wears as he remembers his father once did. Rashid is best described as having "multiple personalities", as sharp observers may note. At times, he is a crude, ruthless, and violent man who seems to be fueled only by his greed for money and his lust for power. At other times, he is a goofy, charming, gentleman of a pirate, cracking jokes at inapropriate times and carelessly picking fights when the odds are clearly against him, all in the name of good fun. Underneath this exterior, however, lies an intelligent, ideological, and cool-headed individual with more interests and emotions than he may let off to his peers.

Ships

Crippled Acrobat - A fully equipped Hyena light fighter which Rashid uses for recon missions and quick travel. The name originates from one of his past endeavors with this ship in which he narrowly escaped several Navy ships solely by thrusting nearly a 30k distance to the Badlands in New York while under constant fire from his pursuers.

Remain Silent - Rashid's trusty Werewolf. One of his favorite ships, the Remain Silent is a heavily armored general purpose VHF which Rashid effectively uses for pirating on trade lanes and causing havoc upon federal forces.

Hopefully Bleak - The newest piece in his collection, the Hopefully Bleak is a well-fitted behemoth which Rashid occasionally uses to pop open transports, or, when the need arises, take down pesky capital ships that are either threatening him or his fellow Rogues.

Noble Bastard - The 'Bastard' as it is affectionately called, is a sturdy and reliable Bactrian freighter which Rashid utilizes for smuggling cargo. Whether it be Slaves, Cardamine, or Blood Diamonds, the Noble Bastard carries precious loot across Sirius with alarming efficiency, almost always out of the reach of lawful forces. It is even seen sometimes destroying ships that were foolish enough to try to confiscate the illicit commodities onboard.
