Information
Katarina was born on the 6th of January 797 A.S. and not much is known about her life before she was assigned to the 75th. Her mother, Valentina Orsini died when giving birth to her daughter so Katarina was raised by her father, Fabio Moreno.
Army Brat
Katarina was raised on the military base on which her father was stationed. Him being her only family this was pretty much the only available option at the time.
From a very young age she admired the Falcata her father was flying, the pilot not so much. Fabio was a lousy father whom neglected his daughter, because of that Katarina oftenly wandered around the base. She never enjoyed a real education and never went to school, though she feels ashamed for being uneducated so she lies about it. However, she did learn quite some trades on the base. She always attended the briefings about both friendly and enemy ships and their specifications. Besides that she was taught many technical trades such as maintainance and repair, welding, weapons calibration and many more.
Rebellion
As she got older she decided she wanted to be a pilot and she dreamed about flying her own Falcata some day. But her father didn't agree and he wanted her to pick another career, something safe. This lead to a heated discussion after which they did not speak to eachother any more. When Katarina was of age she left the base and attended flight school.
75th Career
She continued flight school until she was certified to fly everything from a light fighter to a bomber and when she enlisted to the Maltese fleet the man in front of her asked if she had any preferences. Katarina said she wanted to be a professional Falcata pilot, just like her father. Unfortunatly for her there was a bigger need for Scimitar recon pilots in the 75th Mosquitos squadron. She accepted but is still hoping to be flying her own Falcata one day.
