Early Life
Katarina was born on the 6th of January 797 A.S. and not much is known about her life before she was assigned to the 75th. Her mother, Valentina Orsini died when giving birth to her daughter so Katarina was raised by her father, Fabio Moreno.
During the first 15 years of her life Kat was a delightful child, kind and respectful just as her father raised her. But that changed when she met some new friends, they introduced her to all sorts of alternative drugs, Kat wasn't interested in first but she didn't want them to make fun of her, that's also the reason why she broke into someone elses home. It wasn't because she needed any credits or had her mind set on something inside, she did it just because her so called friends said it was 'cool'.
She got caught by the owner who happened to know her father. Apologies where made and Fabio promised to give his daughter a proper punishment. And so he did, it wasn't much later when he sent Kat to the military boarding school, the moment she walked up those steps to the main entrance was also the last time she saw her father, she never forgave him for sending her to that place.
Wings
Katarina was assigned to the 75th Mosquitos shortly after receiving her wings, at this moment she has grown to a self-confident know it all and when [Claes Leslie], Commandante of the 75th, asked her to rate her flying skills from one to ten she said eleven. Words she soon had to re-consider when she found out deep space is nothing like the simulators and training crafts she had been flying before.
In her first two weeks her Scimitar spent more time on Valetta Shipyard then she was flying it and in an attempt to improve her skills she reached back to her past. She started to take stims to enhance her performance but after a while she was taking so much of them that she became mentally unstable. It didn't take long before Claes found out and she made Kat promise to stop taking them, which she did.
